“ | ♫Crimson red hearts, stone from the start, betcha they're beating now. Hatters and cards, yeah I'll tear them apart, 'cause the fire needs feeding now. Send kind regards, drop the façade, everyone hear my vow! I'll embrace this Wonderland crown! I only paint in red now! Wailing and tears, sweet music I hear, sweat beading on your brow. Now would you deny me my right to reply? You see, I'm not done speaking, so let's see you bow! No way out in sight, so try as I might, I'm giving up, oh... I'll embrace this Wonderland crown! ~ Alice going insane. |
Wonderland Alice is a character from the Disney Princesses but they're Villains series of songs by British musical artist Lydia the Bard. She is the villainous alternate personality of Alice Pleasance Liddell after she is driven to insanity by Wonderland. She is an adaptation of the character from the 1951 animated Disney film Alice in Wonderland, serving as the main protagonist of her song and animatic.
She was voiced by Lydia the Bard.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- Unlike the original Alice, who is a genuinely good girl who is horrified by her other self's crimes, this personality is a sadist who takes pleasure in killing living beings or transmuting them into subservient monstrosities.
- Despite being a creation of Wonderland's corrupting influence, there is nothing to suggest that she is made of evil. In fact, she is shown to have moral agency, as she psychologically torments Alice several times throughout the song.
- Since her song tells a story in a separate universe from the other videos in the series, she doesn't need to compete with any of the series' villainous princesses to stand out. She certainly sets the Heinous Standard for her continuity, with her crimes of mass brainwashing and psychological torment.
- Unlike the other villainous protagonists in the series, she does not have a tragic story or sympathetic motivations that would lead her to do what she does, being nothing more than a cruel being who only wants chaos.
Her Actions[]
- She prevents Alice from helping the White Rabbit and instead tries to convince her to embrace the madness of Wonderland.
- Using Alice's body, she transmutes the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit into more monstrous and vile versions of themselves, forcing Alice to watch the whole thing.
- She brutally beheads the Queen of Hearts and transforms her body into a mutant rose.
- Although the Queen of Hearts intended to behead Alice, the Wonderland Alice did not kill her in self-defense, but rather out of sadism.
- When Alice wakes up, Wonderland's Alice reveals that she has trapped her in a mirror and taken over her body, presumably forever, laughing as she looks at her with a horrified face.
- She forces Alice to watch as she transmutes her parents into chess pieces and laughs at her when she begs to be let out.
- She faces no consequences for her crimes, making her a Karma Houdini.
Trivia[]
- She is the only protagonist from Disney Princesses, but they're Villains series to be Pure Evil so far.
- In December of 2024 on her Discord server, Lydia the Bard answered some questions about Alice and Wonderland. She stated that the possession of Alice by Wonderland played out as such: "Alice was locked behind in Wonderland, evil Alice is kinda like Wonderland cloned her and is now using her to spread the 'disease'. if you will, through this new world." As such, it could be inferred that Wonderland Alice is an extension of Wonderland itself. [1]
