The Windigo is the titular main antagonist of the 2011 horror film Windigo. Despite the name, the Windigo itself is an amalgamation of the Wendigo from Algonquian folklore, and the Slender Man from the Slender Man Mythos.
It's vocal effects were provided by Frank Welker, who also voiced Thumper in A Bug's Life, Megatron in Transformers: The Game, the Red Death in How to Train Your Dragon and a possessing Unicron in Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising, the Kandarian Demon in The Evil Dead, and Shockwave in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
What Make It Pure Evil?[]
- It forces various people into cannibalism in order to later possess them and turn them into zombies.
- Murdered Kwenkon's parents when he was a child and attempted to murder Kwenkon himself, leaving a scar on his stomach.
- It stalks a group of students who came to Bonville to film a documentary about deforestation, even going as far as murdering Selina.
- Kill Alain, one of the town's inhabitants, to turn him into one of his zombies.
- He tricks the group of students into killing Dean.
- Turn all the inhabitants of Bonville into zombies so they can kill the group of students. Later at the end of the movie, it is revealed that there are no survivors left in the town.
- Causes Kwenkon's death by making him sacrifice to kill Windigo itself.
- Possesses Brandon's body to kill the last two students alive, Reese and Cassie.
- Kills the officers who were questioning him about what happened in Bonville, while laughing maniacally and taking complete charge of Brandon's body.
