“ | You were once a man called William Afton. In life you chose to waste time chasing shadows, turning a blind eye at the suffering of others. Leeching off the remnant of life that was robbed from your victims, you fought your fated death until your last rotten breath. But after decades of running away from retribution, you perished- trapped by your own machinations. Your body turned into ash, crushed inside one large metallic coffin. Your soul, now naked and vulnerable, was dragged into the darkest depths of the earth and taken by the forces that would decide your fate. And their judgement was clear. This place was born out of their judgement- this colorless replica, a reflection where your life should've first ended, populated by the shadows of your past. This is your punishment. An endless night, trapped within the abandoned confines of the dream you turned into a nightmare, inside the place of joy you poisoned with your selfish desires. Congratulations, it's your own personal hell. You truly deserved it. My job here is finished; I'm through trying to find humanity in you. Your chances of redemption are long gone and you have no one to blame but yourself. Over the course of these five nights, you have failed to show regret for your actions nor care about anything other than your escape from this prison. You did this to yourself. And as such, I leave you to your fate. This is the end, William. Good riddance. | „ |

William Afton is the main protagonist of the Five Nights At Freddy's fan game A Shadow Over Freddy's, created by Phil "Phisnom" Morg.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- When his family dog snatched his toy in the backyard, he snapped the dog's neck and took the toy, leaving it to die. This shows William was already heartless as a child.
- After seeing the doll possessed by the dog's spirit at night, he found fascination with this aspect and decided to isolate himself from his family to study more about it.
- He tampered with his father's car and did nothing to stop it as part of his experiment about Remnant, leading to his death.
- After the experiment failed when the father's spirit did not possess the doll, William was frustrated and threw the doll away, showing no remorse whatsoever.
- Years later, he found a little girl (presumably Charlotte Emily) standing outside a family restaurant amid rain, and he brutally took the little girl's life, showing nothing but satisfaction in it.
- As time went on, he took four more lives, most likely stuffing them into the animatronics. All of this stopped when he was springlocked and became an undead monster, before dying in the fire.
- Although there are hints that he may have regrets for his actions, such as in the good ending of the game, nothing suggests this is true as he remains in purgatory. Not to mention he only does so to escape from his punishments.
- While his father was an aggressive alcoholic who only talked to his son when he needed something to shout at, this does not make William tragic as it's already stated that he was evil as a kid.
