~ Werthrent confronting Ash. |
Werthrent is a minor antagonist in Final Space, serving as the main antagonist of the Season 2 episode "The Grand Surrender".
He is an eldritch, ancient being worshipped as a god on the planet Serepentis. Despite being a one-shot, his actions have a major effect on Ash Graven.
He was voiced by Tobias Conan Trost.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Instead of accepting human sacrifices for him, he demands them.
- After people were sacrificed for him, he traps them inside himself as mindless zombies with no way of snapping out. One of them was Ash's sister Harp.
- He also accepts children as sacrifices (in fact, Harp was a child when she was sacrificed).
- When confronted by Ash years later, Werthrent cruelly mocks her about how Harp is serving him well.
- He tries to send Ash and the members of the Team Squad that were with her to suffer from the same suffering he gave to the people of Serepentis that were sacrificed to him.
- It's shown numerous times that he and his actions have traumatized Ash for life.
- While the Lord Commander and Invictus are horrid enough for the show's standards, Werthrent does the worst he can with his resources, trapping people inside of him that worship him when they sacrifice themselves to him and turning them into mindless zombies, all while leaving them alive in horrific states.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Final Space Pure Evil villain to be one-shot, while Invictus and Lord Commander appeared in multiple episodes.
