Wafner is the main antagonist of the 2018 war horror film Overlord.
He is the SS-Hauptsturmführer and a leading commander of the Nazi forces, responsible for invading the French village and abducting (or killing) the villagers, along with American soldiers, by taking them into their secret laboratory hidden inside a church, which houses the victims being experimented on by the scientists into making them super soldiers, often with gruesome results.
He was portrayed by Pilou Asbæk, who also played Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones and Kordax in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Led his forces in attacking the French village and abducted their villagers (including American soldiers) into their secret laboratory base to be used as test subjects for experimentation with serums, often leading to grotesque results (and the main reason was to create a serum to make victims into super-soldiers to lead the Reich).
- Invaded Chloe's home and had attempted to rape her.
- Shot and killed Chase after being tortured to make his escape. Although Chase was brought back to life with the serum, the serum's effects causes Chase to grotesquely mutate along with becoming hostile and start attacking others, forcing Boyce to put him out of his misery.
- Had kidnapped Chloe's brother, Paul, to use him as a test subject inside the laboratory.
- Used the serums into himself against Schmidt's warnings, which then leads him to being not only more powerful, but completely insane and leading to gradual mutations within his body.
- Shows no concern for his forces and victims alike whenever they are killed (in this case the victims whether they were dead as a result of the serums), and only cares about himself, and views his forces as expendables.
