Vyktor Kratek is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Anders Benoit) of the 2013 video game Killzone: Mercenary.

He is the Colonel of the Helghast Military who was appointed by Armin Metrac during the Battle of Diortem. Renowned for his Helghast zealotry, Kratek is a ruthless warlord who is responsible for capturing Alex Grey, the ISA Admiral, in his search for the Eschaton Virus in an attempt to wipe out the Vektan population.

He is voiced by Nicholas Boulton, who also voices Vaughan Kendells in Dragon Age: Origins.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

• Took over Diortem after Metrac's invasion and held the city captive under his watch.
• Tortured Grey to force her into disclosing details regarding Project Eschaton. He also killed three ISA prisoners in front of her by gassing them, after Grey flat-out refused to divulge any details regarding it. He later shoots her for dead, before he leaves.
• Used Mandor Savic to create a modified, highly lethal version of the Eschaton Virus in his plans to wipe out all of Vektans. He later plots a murder attempt on Savic after reneging on his deal. He went so far in using his Savic's family as leverage if he fails.
• Sent his soldiers to attack the Vektan embassy in Pyrrhus, which led to countless personnel killed, as well as the deaths of the ISA ambassador Sepp Harkin and his wife Valeria.
• Planned to kidnap Justus Harkin in order to extract the plasmid trigger inside his body, so that he would activate the Eschaton Virus to pull his genocidal plans towards Vekta.
• Used Arran Danner as his own pawn to retrieve the Eschaton Virus located inside Facility X01's virus containment chamber. He would soon renege on him once Danner retrieves his virus.
• Shows no loyalty or care to his own men or the people he worked with, including Danner and Savic, who simply used them for his own planned atrocities against others.
