Vulgyre is the main antagonist of Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman. He is the true ruler of the Silver Imperial Army Zone, initially appearing disguised as their flagship and using the visage of Galactic Empress Meadow to control his subordinates. His ultimate goal is to exterminate life on 1,000 inhabited planets in order to complete a ritual that will grant him immortality, allowing him to become God of the Milky Way.

In the final few episodes, Vulgyre assumes his final form Galactic Super Beast Vulgyre.

He was voiced by the late Seizo Kato, who also voiced numerous other Sentai and Toku villains including Star King Bazeu and Emperor Zeba.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Coveted Meadow and attempted to force her to be his wife. After she died falling off a cliff while running away from Vulgyre, Vulgyre entombed her body and trapped her soul within him, using her image to found the Zone.
    • While he at first seemed horrified at seeing her dead, he gets over it rather quickly before imprisoning his spirit, meaning his horror was more motivated by his lust for a queen, not sincere remorse.
  • Led the Zone in exterminating life on 999 inhabited planets, including Romaro, Crystal and Sidon, with Earth being his target for the 1,000. This gives him possibly the highest body count of any villain in the franchise, potentially in the trillions. When the Hoshikawa family restored life to Sidon, Vulgyre had the Zone destroy it again.
  • When his true identity was revealed and Doldora refused to continue serving him, Vulgyre forcibly combined her with Zaza and mutated them into a mindless Super Galactic Warrior before sending them off on a suicide mission to destroy the flowers of Sidon.
  • Sacrificed Captain Chevalier in order to use the blood he was infused with from the countless murders he committed across the galaxy to power himself up into his Galactic Super Beast form.
  • As Galactic Super Beast Vulgyre, he went on a rampage through the city destroying everything in sight.
  • He completely destroys the Magma Base, nearly killing the fiveman as a result.
  • Even worse, because of this, the siblings had to leave earth after killing Vulgyre, as they had nowhere to live.
  • Although his death is brutal, being run through head first by Super Fiverobo, it’s ultimately deserved for his atrocities.
