Vuk is the main antagonist of the 2019 superhero film X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the eleventh installment of the X-Men film series.
In her characterisation, she is the leader of the a race of extraterrestrials known as the D'Bari. In the 1990s, Vuk and her forces invade the Earth and decide to manipulate Jean Grey to transform the Earth in a new world for the D'Bari race.
She was portrayed by Jessica Chastain.
What Makes Her Pure Evil[]
- Although, as a leader, she is on a mission to find a new world for her people, she does not hesitate to have to destroy all life on earth so that they can conquer the planet, what seems to be an alien invasion, accompanied by extermination in mass, than the recolonization of a planet, proven by displaying awareness when Charles Xavier tells her everyone would die if she were to continue with her conquering plans.
- The type of leader she is implicit is a leader thirsty for power and, being a warlord, willing to sacrifice her own people and use them as a tool, proven by not even showing an ounce of care for her fellow D’Bari during the X-Men’s fights with them.
- The lack of consideration, cruelty and coldness she has towards earthlings outweighs the fact that she is after a new planet for her people. She has no regard for earthly lives and the first thing she does after arriving on land and meeting the first humans ahead of her is to kill a woman named Margaret Smith (of whom she has assumed her identity), followed by her husband, that it kills painfully by paralyzing their heart. She also does the same with Jean's father. She demonstrates cruelty in committing each of these murders.
