Valentina Vostok is a minor antagonist in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, serving as a supporting antagonist in Season 1.
She is a fanatical Soviet scientist obsessed with creating a Soviet Firestorm to start World War III and decimate the world.
She was portrayed by Stephanie Corneliussen.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- She experimented on countless people to try create a Soviet Firestorm, horrifically killing them with their bodies being completely decayed and charred.
- She abandoned any possible interest or care for Snart upon discovering he was a member of the Legends, revealing her true colors and holding him hostage to force Ray into reactivating the thermal core for him. She even admitted that Snart was right that she would probably kill him regardless and tried to do so right after Ray reactivated the core.
- She kidnapped Stein, Ray, and Rory, having the latter two imprisoned in a gulag while she drugged Stein in an attempt to trick him into giving her the rest of the Firestorm formula.
- She rejected any attempt at reason from Stein when he warned her that creating a Soviet Firestorm would lead to World War lll and the annihilation of both the U.S and the Soviet Union, revealing to him that that was exactly what she wanted to happen out of her own social darwinist and power-hungry desires, revealing that she wasn’t genuinely loyal to her own people and willing to kill millions of them to purge the “weak” and secure her own glory of creating a Firestorm. In fact, as the bad future had Vostok succeeded would reveal, her creating a Firestorm army would decimate the entire world.
- She tortured Stein with a toxin that she bragged was a fate worse than death and when he still refused to talk, she brought Ray and Mick and had the Colonel brutally torture them to force Stein to agree to give her the rest of the formula, but being disappointed the torture didn’t take so long.
- She abandoned any attempt to even safely complete her project upon discovering that Stein was actually one-half of Firestorm, instead forcibly merging with Stein to become Firestorm herself despite Stein warning her that without a stabilizer, she would kill them both. She then proceeded to go on a rampage completely mad with power and taunting Jax that Stein could hear him, but couldn’t do anything before Jax freed Stein and she had a nuclear meltdown and exploded, killing her, just as Stein had warned her it would.
