Yep, another one. This time we have not one, not two, not four, but three different candidates all from the same movie! Nothing more to add so let's just get on with the proposal.
What’s The Work?
You thought we were done with The Toxic Avenger candidates? Not even close! Today we’re gonna talk about the fourth and final movie (excluding the remake) in the franchise, and the real sequel to the original movie as the narrator at the start claims, Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV. An attempt to save Tromaville’s school for the very special from a terrorist attack perpetrated by the Diaper Mafia (I did not make that up) ends up going wrong, leading to The Toxic Avenger and his evil alternate dimension counterpart, The Noxious Offender, swapping dimensions. Now Toxie has to navigate the crime-filled streets of Amortville, and try to get back to his home dimension to stop Noxie’s destructive rampage.
Who Are They? What Have They Done?
Noxious Offender
Evil Melvin Ferd, better known as The Noxious Offender, or Noxie, is the main antagonist of the movie. He’s an evil alternate universe version of Toxie that turned his version of Tromaville, Amortville, into a hellhole full of criminals, drugs and moral depravity (for one example, there’s a sausage factory that kills people and makes sausages out of their remains). He also kidnapped Chester’s (his universe’s version of Lardass) girlfriend Claire (his universe’s version of Sarah) and made her into a sex slavery for him and his men, with him also torturing her. This would also cause Chester to become a homeless bum that had to prostitute himself on the streets for money. Following some multidimensional shenanigans, he ends up in the main dimension where Toxie is from. First thing he does after arriving? Immediately begin decimating a crowd of people, killing literally thousands including a young girl and the beloved police chief Newman in the process.
After making his way through Tromaville alongside Kazinski, he’s told by Kazinski to go to Toxie’s house, where he proceeds to trick Toxie’s wife Sarah into having sex with another woman, he then proceeds to rape and impregnate Sarah. After this, Kazinski meets up with him again and and they go and murder Mayor Goldberg so Noxie can take over as mayor of Tromaville, with him then going on another brutal killing spree, which includes all the superheroes that tried to stop him (minus Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. because he ran away).
After Toxie returns to Tromaville, it’s revealed Noxie is forcing Sarah to have his evil child, taking her captive in the Tromaville hospital to ensure she dies in childbirth. And when Toxie shows up to stop him, he has Kazinski and his entire police force try to stop him. After he kills them all, Toxie makes his way into the room Sarah is being kept in, where he and Noxie fight. When Noxie gets the upper hand, he begins strangling him and attempts to rape Toxie before killing him. But then Toxie gets the upper hand and manages to rip out Noxie’s silicone heart, turning him back into Melvin. It seems like he’s been redeemed for a second only for Melvin to begin biting Toxie’s ear and attempt to rape him, admitting that he’s just evil. This causes Toxie to throw Melvin out of the hospital window with him falling head first into a barrel of toxic waste, mimicking what happened to Toxie in the first movie. Melvin then begins running away promising that he’ll be back if there’s a sequel, but there never was so…
Sgt. Kazinski
Theodore Kazinski, known better as Sgt. Kazinski, is the secondary antagonist of the movie. So remember how the police chief in the first movie is basically just one big nazi joke? You probably don’t because I haven’t mentioned that at any point in these proposals because it wasn’t relevant. Anyway, Kazinski is kinda like that, except he’s literally a Hitler lookalike.
Introduced as one of the officers on the scene of the Diaper Mafia’s takeover of the Tromaville school for the very special, he’s quickly revealed to be the one orchestrating the attack as part of his plan to bring a “new order” to Tromaville, calling up Tex Diaper and telling him to kill another student. The attack ends up leading to the school being blown up, killing everyone inside except Toxie and two students (and the pregnant teacher who apparently escaped at some point), but due to alternate dimension shenanigans, the three would be sent to Amortville, an alternate dimension version of Tromaville, and in their place would be Toxie’s Amortville counterpart, the Noxious Offender.
At first he’s annoyed to see that “Toxie” survived, but when he begins brutally killing thousands of people in the crowd outside, Kazinski begins cheering for him, being absolutely thrilled at the carnage he’s causing. Later on teaming up with Noxie, they proceed to murder Mayor Goldberg, with Noxie taking over as mayor of Tromaville. This leads to Noxie going on another brutal killing spree, which includes all the superheroes that tried to stop him (minus Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. because he ran away), with Kazinski himself helping kill the superheroes.
When Toxie returns to Tromaville, he finds out Noxie is gonna force Sarah to have his evil baby (with it being guaranteed she’ll die in childbirth), and Kazinki is there to prevent anyone from stopping him. When Toxie tries to get in, Kazinski sends all his officers (who are also dressed like Hitler) after him, and when Toxie kills them all, he cowardly attempts to run away, only for Toxie to kill him as well.
Tex Diaper
Tex Diaper is a minor antagonist in the movie. Leader of the terrorist group known as… the Diaper Mafia (Again, I did not make this up), he’s introduced in the opening scene invading the Tromaville school for the very special on Take a Mexican to Lunch Day, he’s first shown manically laughing while firing a gun, telling all the special needs kids to drop their tacos or he’ll blow their brains out. Quickly revealed to be working with Kazinski on his plan to bring a “new order” to Tromaville, he ends up murdering a special needs kid when Kazinski tells him to and promises to kill one every five minutes until a Really Real Bikini TV crew shows up. Later on he also brutally murders another kid for accidentally hitting him in the crotch, sadistically laughing the whole time, with it then being revealed he murdered a further three offscreen.
When the TV crew shows up, he has them record him taunting the pregnant tied up teacher for the kids, and says the only thing he hates more than people with special needs is “genetic traitors”. He then attempts to slice open the pregnant teacher’s stomach. But before he can do it, it’s revealed the TV crew were actually Toxie and his sidekick Lardass in disguise, with Toxie proceeded to kill several members of the Diaper Mafia. Tex then proceeds to begin firing around the classroom, killing several kids in the process.
Eventually he runs out of ammo, and Toxie goes to kill him, only for him to reveal he has a detonator on his chest that will blow up the whole school five seconds after his heart stops. But Toxie can’t stop himself and his tromatons take control, leading him to rip out Tex’s guts, once he realises what he’s doing he tries desperately to put all his guts back in only for him to die anyway. Long story short, the bomb goes off leading to the deaths of everyone inside, including Lardass, except Toxie and two kids (and the pregnant teacher who apparently escaped at some point).
Mitigating Factors?
Obviously not lol, none of them have anything resembling redeeming qualities. Noxie and Kazinski's partnership is purely based off mutual sadism and they still act like assholes towards each other. Noxie doesn't have the same tragic backstory Toxie does, instead becoming the way he is through surgery, and showing himself to be just as evil as Melvin as he was Toxie. Tex constantly yells at the other members of his group and is only going along with Kazinski's plan out of sadism than genuine loyalty. Did you really expect any different?
Heinous Standard
Yeah I think they all do enough. Noxie is easy considering he repeatedly tortured and raped Claire, made Amortville a hellhole and killed thousands of people among other atrocities. Kazinski doesn't do as much but he was still responsible for the bombing at the start of the film and spends the rest of it enabling Noxie's killing spree and ensuring he gets power and keeps it. So I think he also does enough.
Tex is the only mildly contentious one here but even then I still think he also does enough. Sure, he's working for Kazinski but he's still the one actually carrying out the shooting/bombing, has an extremely petty motivation for it all, is extremely sadistic about carrying the whole thing out and plans to cut open a pregnant woman for teaching special needs kids. So I think he passes as well.
Are They Silly Enough?
By now you should know the answer is yes. Noxie is a parody of evil alternate universe versions of superheroes, Kazinski is a parody of corrupt cops taken to the absolute extreme with the whole joke being that he's a Hitler lookalike and Tex is a parody of the Columbine shooters (no really) and the Diaper Mafia is a parody of "The Trench Coat Mafia". The previous films were all really dark comedies and this film is no different, with all their actions being played for dark laughs. Though, despite how ridiculous they all are, they're still major threats in-universe, so they're good for this.
