I've recently made a page for Kanade Otonokoji from Super Danganronpa Another 2 here. But I've now made that page into a sandbox since she hasn't been proposed here yet, so I'll be making a proposal for her here.

I think it's also important to bring up that the entirety of this post is taken from the original proposal for Kanade on Villains Fanon Wiki written by Bonus Person.

What's The Work?[]

Super Danganronpa Another 2 is a Korean Danganronpa fangame created by LINUJ, it is the sequel to Danganronpa Another. The story is about Sora, an amnesiac girl who finds herself stuck on an island with 15 other Hope's Peak students. There she and the others are forced to play a killing game.

In order to leave the island, you need to kill someone and avoid getting caught. If someone successfully gets away with the murder, they get to escape and everyone besides the murderer gets executed, but if the murderer is caught, only they alone will be executed. Obviously the latter is what always happens.

Who is She? What Has She Done?[]

Kanade Otonokoji is one of the 16 participants who were kidnapped and forced to play the killing game. She and Hibiki are popular for their famous band "Melody Rhythm". During the killing game, her memories were modified to make it look like she was a hope's peak academy student due to her talent as "Ultimate Guitarist" (everything else about her is true though).

She acted pretty friendly and shy at the start but she secretly harbored some dark secrets…

Back when they were kids, Kanade and Hibiki loved each other like any normal siblings, however, one day Kanade found out Hibiki loved her puppy Shiro more than her, which sparked some jealousy. Kanade then picked up a knife, killed Shiro and got rid of his corpse. At first she felt remorse for it but then Hibiki started crying in her arms and Kanade became proud of what she had done.

That was only the start, every time Hibiki made a close relationship with someone, Kanade would kill them. Hibiki's teacher? Buried near the school. The rest of Melody Rhythm's band? Eliminated. Her own parents? Killed AND filmed as well. Though not all of them were killed, there was Hibiki's best friend, who was heavily injured to the point of having to spend years paralyzed in a hospital. Kanade killed at least 60 people, all because of their connection with Hibiki. Somehow the police never found out about her crimes.

Another reason for her serial murder is because she noticed that, whenever Hibiki lost a precious person, she would stay traumatized in a state where the only thing she can do is obey Kanade's orders, like a lifeless puppet. That was Kanade's goal, she wanted to transform Hibiki into the perfect puppet so that she could control her anytime she wanted.

Years later Kanade and Hibiki are in Mikado Sannoji's killing game, they know that the only way to escape is by killing someone without being found out. While Hibiki was completely against it, Kanade obviously wasn't. On chapter 3, she traumatized Hibiki once again and forced her to murder: they both stabbed Setsuka at the same time and both were considered to be the culprit. She also chopped off Setsuka's body and used the pieces to create an entire complex plan in order to escape the class trial and frame Iroha for Setsuka's murder. However, since our protagonists can never lose, Kanade and Hibiki were found out during the class trial.

Since they were found out, both were going to be executed, but Hibiki was in her traumatized and unconscious state, she could easily have a painless death without knowing so what did Kanade do? Kanade literally made Hibiki conscious again JUST so that she can experience her unfair execution and feel despairful about it. Kanade enjoyed every second of Hibiki's suffering during it.

Heinous Factors[]

Other than Kanade the two most heinous villains in the series are Utsuro and Mikado Sannoji. Utsuro invaded the kisaragi foundation killing tons of executives, created the first killing game and helped Junko with her own killing game. Then there's Mikado who created the second Virtual Killing Game, which Kanade participated in.

However, Kanade still stands out, she's a serial killer who killed innumerous people despite having less resources than both Utsuro and Mikado (Utsuro has the Divine Luck that allows any of his plans to succeed, Mikado is virtual machine with four minions and access to hundreds of functions while Kanade is just a teenager), and she also has the unique crimes of killing her own family, and torturing and brainwashing Hibiki for years.

Migrating Factors[]

Since her "love" for her sister is fake as hell (I mean she literally tortured her for years and made her conscious just to experience an execution) let's move on to the main problem: Off-screen Villainy.

Her serial murder, while definitely impressive for a teenager, is still off-screen and only a few of her murders are shown. However, they still have onscreen effects. Hibiki herself is one, the reason she is so traumatized to the point of being easily controlled is due to Kanade killing off her precious ones for years.

Another onscreen effect is the fact that they are in the killing game in the first place. For that specific Killing Game, Mikado only kidnapped people who were connected to the Hope's Peak class of 79, in order to make Yuki relive Utsuro's experience. So how is Kanade connected to the class of 79?

Since several people associated with the twins were mysteriously dying, Tsurugi Kinjo (student of class 79) investigated and interrogated the Twins in order to find out if they did it. In other words, if Kanade never did her serial murder, tsurugi would never have interrogated her, thus she would have nothing to do with the class of 79 and wouldn't be forced to play in the Killing Game.

Tsurugi and Syobai are proof enough that the serial murders did happen. Tsurugi confirmed that several people with relation to the Twins were being murdered, he just didn't know it was Kanade who killed them, and Syobai confirmed that the way Setsuka was mutilated could only be done by a professional who had done it multiple times before.

Also, as a Symbol of Hope, Kanade and Hibiki were known for helping charities, but that could be just pragmatic, after all, when you're a serial killer you might want to have a good image so nobody suspects you.
