What is the work?[]
The KTG Saga is a series of four novels written by RedstonePrime. The series first began with Godzilla: Vengeance Rising, a Godzilla fanfiction, before being followed by a prequel story (The Komodo: Birth of an Assassin ), and two sequels (Savannah Sunset.org, and Secrets of the KTG). The series (with the exception of the prequel story, which focuses on Conrad Dragonus, a supporting character in the original story) follows Richard Jackson as he and his friends try to take down a government group known as the KTG (Kaiju Termination Group) in order to protect the people, animals, and kaiju that inhabit the earth.
Who is he?[]
Jeremy Goldberg is the leader of the leader of the KTG, a group tasked with taking down dangerous animals (including Kaiju) in order to protect the Earth. In reality, however, he is the dragon-like Kaiju King Ghidora, who wants to ascend to godhood and rule the Earth, wiping out the entirety of humanity in the process. In Secrets of the KTG, he loses his dragonic, now permanently in a human form.
What makes him pure evil?[]
- Captures several animals and conducts cruel experiments on them, including transferring their minds into human bodies.
- Manipulates several people into working with him.
- Poses as Conrads father and tries to get him to wipe out the Komodo Dragons
- Takes Richard and his friends to his house in order to kill them
- Poses as a village elder in order to manipulate Matthew Lloyd, Conrad’s closest friends, into killing the Komodo dragons by exploiting Matthew’s own tragic backstory.
- Attacks the city of Tokyo, showing no care for who is killed.
- Tries to kill Harry Lloyd after the latter turns against him
- Impersonates one of Richard’s friends so he can sneak into his home and steal a hard drive containing the identities of several KTG agents
- Manipulates Daniella into turning against Richard Jackson, and her own hyenas
- Tricks Richard into handing over Szylvia Gadson
- Kills William Xenon after he has no more use for him
- Mocks others for not seeing him for who he truly is
- Shows little care whenever any of his men are killed
- Helps corrupt the Savannah Slayer (hyena body) into a dangerous monster barely unrecognisable as a hyena
- Shows sadistic glee at any death and destruction he causes
- Injures a sub-adult hyena, forcing Richard and his friends to treat it
Mitigating factors:[]
None. He is easily one of the most vile characters in the story, as he kills innocent species and people without reason, has delusions of godhood, and manipulates others into doing his bidding.
Heinous standard:[]
The heinous standards are fairly high, since most of the KTG are either soldiers simply doing their job, or have been manipulated by Jeremy. Jeremy, meanwhile, passes this as he is responsible for the events of the series, and tries to wipe out entire species, conducts illegal experiments on people and animals, and shows no care for who is killed. He also kills his own men if they either A). Betray him, or B). Serve no use for him. The only other villains who passes the standard is Frederick Arkwright, since he sells exotic animals for profit, without any care in who he sells them to, and also kills half a hyena clan just because the leader of said clan decided to betray him.
Verdict:[]
I think he definitely qualifies, as he tries to wipe out several creatures regardless of how innocent they are, experiments on different animals, and shows little care for anyone who is killed in the process. Another factor that makes him qualify is the fact he wants to ascend to godhood and rule the entire Earth, something that certainly does not justify his actions nor does it make him heroic or sympathetic in any way.
