What a nice guy. Surely he doesn't manically shoot people with a Tommy gun...right?
Watts up Pure Evil Wiki. Welcome to my eighth proposal. So, I was originally gonna do someone else initially, until I decided that, since a character from Home Alone which is a franchise I loved so much, and he comes from a Christmas work, which uh, currently this is December, I've decided to propose this character instead. We've discussed him if he counts or not, and well.... he does indeed count for the trope and is also a possible PE/MB crossover. Anyways, let the trial commence!
What's the Work?
Home Alone is a Christmas comedy franchise. It revolves around various children in their respective movies where they are left home alone by accident on Christmas. While liking it seemingly, they then end up missing their family. However, they also have to later face against several robbers.
We're mainly focusing on the first two films. They revolve around Kevin McCallister having a huge family while having to face against Harry and Marv after being accidentally left home alone. There's a fourth film too, which brings the kid and one of the antagonists back, but eh...we won't talk about that.
Who is He? What Has He Done?
John R. "Johnny" Valentine is the main antagonist of the in-universe gangster films Angels with Filthy Souls and its sequel Angels with Even Filthier Souls.
He is a gangster that likes killing people like a madman with his Tommy gun. He is first seen in the first film where Snakes meets up that he got everything that's needed while wanting 10% for the money. Johnny, however, instead says that "Acey ain't in charge no more" and that he is currently bathing upstairs and will call snakes when he gets out, though it seems he's dead considering what happens later. He then pulls out his Tommy gun and tells Snakes he must run before he counts to ten, which Johnny immediately goes straight to ten after saying two and kills Snakes.
Later, he is seen in the second film. Johnny figures out that his girlfriend, Carlotta, was cheating on her with other guys such as Snuffy, Al, Leo, Little Moe with the gimpy leg, Cheeks, Boney Bob, and Cliff, which uh...are indeed a lot of guys, and these aren't even all of them. He also tells her that he doesn't believe that she was just simply going out to sing. Carlotta protests, and Johnny does say he believes her, but he also says his Tommy gun doesn't though. Like what he did to Snakes, he tells Carlotta she must run before he finishes counting to ten, in which he immediately goes straight to then after saying two and kills her.
Is He Heinous Enough?
I'd say he is heinous enough. He exists in a vacuum considering he only appears in an in-universe film where no one else does anything not bog-standard. We can also see some pattern in him shooting people like a madman as a gangster as to what he did to Acey, Snakes and Carlotta as well as to how much he enjoys doing it, and the fact that he comes from a series of gangster films hinting he has more than two scenes of doing this.
Non-Preventions?
While he did have a girlfriend, it's unknown if he ever cared about her prior to her cheating on him, and basically, he subverts any care he would've had for her by remorselessly and sadistically killing her.
Is He Silly Enough?
Yeah, he is. Home Alone is a comedy and all, and this being in-universe doesn't make this an exception as there is much comedy as to how many guys Carlotta had cheated on Johnny and given as to how Johnny's kills are played completely for laughs alongside Johnny's mad behavior when he kills them.
Verdict?
I'm going to give you to the count of ten, to vote on this proposal, before I pump your guts full of lead...nah I'm just kidding yes for me.
