What’s the work? Who’s the candidate?[]
The Inkopolis Chaos Trilogy is a collection of 3 splatoon fanfictions i wrote on wattpad. The first story is about Samuel, an inkling, meeting Natalie, an octoling who has been accused of a crime she didnt commit, and he had to prove her innocence, giving her a new life, while also having to stand clear of Scarlet trying to kill them and Ruby trying to drag them back to octo valley. The second story is about octolings dissapearing from inkopolis, and its found out that its due to a criminal organisation called the octobusters, led by Cyalux, a former friend. The third and final story is about taking down Lieutenant Obsidian to stop her from destroying all life on the surface, and saving the brainwashed octolings from her grasp.
Scarlet is the central antagonist of this trilogy. She is a really vile and sadistic bully who ends up escalating to more then just a mere highschool bully. Her goal in the first story was merely to wreack havoc on inkopolis for the sake of it. But first, she wanted to kill the protagonists while making them suffer via torture and other methods. In the third story, she gets even worse, as she is bailed out of prison, where she is hired by lt obsidian to kill the squidbeak. But that wasnt even her final goal. Her true goal was after she killed the squidbeak, she would overthrow lt obsidian, and use her power to destroy the peace between inklings and octolings.
What has she done?[]
Firstly, she bullied several inklings for years, from verbal to physical. One day, Samuel stood up against her, which pissed her off, to the point where she tried to beat him to death in a forest before Natalie showed up. When she showed up, Scarlet hypocritically calls Natalie and all other octolings evil, showing how racist she is. But it takes more then just being an asshole to be pure evil, but luckily, she is more then just that.
Her first truley disgusting act is that She and her gang disguise as the protagonists, and they grab an innocent inkling off the street, and beat them into a coma, just to frame them. She then has her gang grab Natalie and they try to throw her off a cliff. When Ruby finds out, she gets angry, and tries to kill Jack, James and Jess. Scarlet stops her, by shooting her with a charger. However, she didnt do it out of care, she only did it so she wouldnt lose gang members, so it was self serving. As for Ruby, Scarlet injures Ruby further, then leaves her to slowly die in the forest, rather then just killing her instantly, which is just plain sadistic.
After she is exposed to the public, she snaps further. She declares that she is evil, and will wreack havoc on Inkopolis just for fun. (Keep this in mind, its important later.) Scarlet captures Natalie and begins torturing her. Scarlets torture is outright brutal, as she LIGHTS NATALIE ON FIRE, and then declares to “put her out” by spraying her with water (remember, octolings are weak to water, so this hurts). Scarlet also begins kicking and punching her where it hurts, and gets a knife and begins slicing her. Scarlet was going to torture her to death, but she heard people coming, so she fled. This torture is outright monstrous, and secures her as irredeemable, considering Natalie barley survives, and is shown to be just... speechless and emotionless for quite a bit after the event. The final battle happens, and she threatens to cut Samuel and Natalies hearts out and then store them on her shelf, showing how deranged she is. Thankfully, she is defeated and locked up… OR IS SHE?
Thanks to Lieutenant Obsidian, she is bailed out of prison. She pretends to agree to work for her, but she isnt really, as she has an alterior motive. In Cephalon HQ, she shot Sylvia with a tranquilliser. Even if she was aiming for Samuel, it’s Scarlets fault that Sylvia got taken to a concentration camp and got traumatised. So she is responsible for not one, but TWO major characters being tortured.
Hey, remember a year ago, she said shed wreack havoc for fun? Yea… Later on, she slits someones throat infront of Luke, Summer and Melissa. Then, she goes up to the roof of the building, and there we see what she has done. SHE KILLED 11 PEOPLE (one of her victims was a child), as shown by her rambling and the corpses just… lying ontop of a roof. She even states that she tortured some of them before killing them. She then tries to kill Luke, Summer and Melissa, but they almost defeat her, which causes her to flee. This scene just shows how she wasnt kidding about her commiting acts for the fun of it.
Now, in the climax, we find out Scarlets goal. She reveals that after she kills the squidbeak splatoon, she intends to overthrow Lt. Obsidian, so she could take control of the octarian army… Why? So she could destroy peace between inklings and octolings. Yes, she wanted to start a cod damn race war. Thankfully, she is killed by Jade in the middle of the climax. Thank you Agent 3.
Heinous Standard?[]
Now, i am aware she isnt as heinous as Commander Tartar and Lieutenant Obsidian, due to them having a higher kill count. But, what i forgot about in her NPE proposal was that she has FAR LESS resources then both of them. So its not a fair comparison, considering she’s one individual, while Tartar and Obsidian are major leaders with way more recourses and supporters. Besides, a good point made was that she stands out in terms of personal vileness. At least Tartar and Obsidian had reasons and/or excuses for what they did. Scarlet? Absolutley no excuse! She does all her evil actions all because its “her hobby”. She has no reason for what she does half the time, shes just doing it for the sake of it.

Migitating Factors/Freudian Excuse?[]
She cares about noone except for herself. She is even abusive to her own gang members, as she slaps James for critisising her, and blames her failures on them. James even states that she threatened to slit Jesses throat, causing him and Jess to no longer associate with her. She is taken completley seriously in universe, especially when she gets worse, as everyone is appauled and disgusted by her. Nothing is comedic about her at all. Shes just a sadistic racist bully who enjoys torturing and killing inklings and especially octolings.
