NOTE: This proposal does plagiarize from his failed NPE proposal, but I wrote that so it's fine.
After his NPE proposal got abstained into oblivion because everyone thought he actually WAS heinous enough to count as PE, I decided "know what, let's try to propose him up here". Still nervous about him counting because of certain facts on him, but hey, here we go. I've been a bit hesitant to make a PE proposal because I'd have to do more edits on the Villains Fanon Wiki to also get him approved as CM, but that's irrelevant. Let's go!
What's the Work?[]
The Theorizer is a YouTube channel run by, shockingly, The Theorizer. He often has some of the most deranged and absurd yet logical conclusions you've ever seen, saying the Brazilian Helicopter Pilot from Inside Out is a serial organ thief, and that Mort from Madagascar is an eldritch abomination who is literally the grim reaper and also Kronos I think? Whatever, I haven't seen the Mort theories in a hot second.
Who Is He?[]
Henry J. Waternoose III is the secondary antagonist of his Pixar theories (alongside Syndrome, who may get a PE proposal from me eventually, considering he's a more heinous version of a PE villain). He, unlike his canon self, has kidnapped children since he began running the company. Oh, and killed them, according to The Theorizer. Yay, child murder!
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He inherited the company from his father and grandfather, who have been kidnapping and killing kids to use as a power source since the start.
- He kidnapped nearly every child in the world, considering the files he has on them, and interrogated them. According to The Theorizer, he also extracted information from adults, which is why he knows so much about the human world.
- Waternoose killed kids himself, kidnapping them and using their screams to power the city.
- The energy crisis was only an easy excuse for Waternoose, caused by Randall's Scream Extractor. This thing is confirmed to kill (even though it was used on Boo before, this is because she's an evil robot spy sent by BNL, don't ask). It's also a torture device, making it even more threatening. He only went along with Randall's plan because it was a more convenient way to kill kids, not because he cared about the crisis.
- And then there's all the crimes he commits in the film.
- His company itself is based around traumatizing children in concept, even ignoring it's true motives.
- He banished the Abominable Snowman to the Himalayas to cover up his crimes, and did the same to Mike and Sully, He practically left them to freeze to death, even though they lived.
- He tried to accuse Mike and Sully of being the real kidnappers, which Roz had already been suspecting, and may have bought if not for a simple recording.
Mitigating Factors[]
Onto some "mitigating factors" that don't actually stick. Because he doesn't have any in this version.
First off, he's no longer an extremist, as his motives are moreso "keep his company running and profitable" than "keep Monstroplis with power", as he was doing this before anything bad was even happening with the power.
He also sheds his affability, with his remorse over banishing Sully being more like annoyance he lost an asset than genuine regret.
And no, he lacks care for Randall, as he's also more of a pawn to him.
Moral agency? Yes. Even though he comes from a lineage of child-killing crustaceans, there's no reason to assume this means he was born evil.
And now the prevention I thought stuck was fridge horror, because it was unclear how many kids he killed and how. But according to the NPE Wiki, he's actually more than heinous enough anyways, as even if we don't know exactly how many died and how they died, he still targeted children, who are weak and innocent, kidnapped them, and murdered them, and in high numbers.
Heinous Standards[]
So, considering this theory encompasses all of Pixar, this may seem hard. However, the theory ACTUALLY only covers Monsters, Inc. and The Incredibles, as this is in a different universe from the others, although they do have weird connections due to BNL. Leaving him with very few villains to beat. Syndrome had more resources than him, having an entire island and brainwashing powers. Evelyn doesn't beat him, as her kill count is far lower. BNL itself is the closest contender, but it's unclear how they put human souls into robotic beings, whether it be murder or simply some sort of painless transfer. Apparently I also forgot some of the other people in the original heinous standard, but... no, the US Government doesn't even have a kill count, and Winston kinda just aided Evelyn, unaware of what her plans were, as he thought they were just making up The Screenslaver to make Supers legal again. SOMEHOW, I also forgot Randall originally, but Randall couldn't have done ANYTHING without Waternoose's help. Sure, he had the Scream Extractor already built, but it'd be a struggle for him to kidnap the kids sneakily, something Waternoose was already well versed in doing.
Verdict[]
Yes for mass child murder just to keep money flowing in, even DESPITE having somewhat vague crimes.
