Uragami is a major antagonist in the Parasyte: The Maxim sci-fi horror anime/manga series.
He is an inmate who was imprisoned for serial murder and various other crimes. Much like Shinichi, he is able to detect parasites but only due to their mutual sadism in his case. Him and Shinichi both act as minions of the military to use their powers to detect parasites, when Uragami ends up actually escaping, returning later as the final antagonist when he tries to kill Shinichi and Satomi.
He was voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino in Japanese and Andrew Love in the English dub.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Was a serial killer who sadistically killed his victims in horrible ways even compared to the parasites themselves. His acts would go from kidnapping and raping women too even cannibalizing people. At least one of these victims was an underage woman, showing he is also a pedophile.
- Stabs and rapes a woman before being interrupted by a parasite.
- Gets extremely perverted and removes his clothes when a woman visits his cell, likely desiring to rape her. He would then zone out when seeing an older woman, showing how disgusting he is.
- Gleefully tricks the military into killing innocent people by lying that they are parasites.
- Murders his escort with a gun then runs away during the commotion. He would then continue his crimes.
- Hunted down Shinichi and tried to kill both him and his girlfriend.
- While he helped the military hunt down parasites, even saving many lives due to this, this was done out of pure pragmatism so he could escape when their guard was down.
- While he freaked out at the sight of Gotou and knowing his atrocities, this was fear for his own life rather than having standards.
- He stands out for doing arguably even worse than Gotou himself and other parasites with much less resources, being only a human.
