Ultron is the main antagonist of the 2008 animated Marvel film Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow.
He is a genocidal robot that turned against its creators and killed the Avengers, taking over the world. Years later, Ultron seeks to destroy the New Avengers, the children of the deceased Avengers, as well as his disgraced creator Tony Stark.
He was voiced by Tom Kane, who also voiced Chancellor Ferdinand in 9.
What Makes It Pure Evil?[]
- Before the events of the film, he killed off most of the Avengers (i.e. Captain America, Black Widow, Giant-Man, Wasp, Black Panther and Hawkeye), leaving Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, and the Vision as the only survivors.
- In his quest to take over the world, he killed hundreds of superheroes to which he has a trophy room.
- Conquered half of the world within 13 years, desolating the entire planet and wiping out presumably billions of life and forcing survivors to hide underground. He even put the entire world under constant surveillance to keep track of things.
- When he is alerted to Iron Man's presence due to the Iron Avengers going off, he heads right towards them and tries kill the Avengers' children when he first encounters them.
- Tortured Iron Man, his own creator, for information.
- Like most versions of the character, despite being a robot, Ultron still possesses a moral agency as he shows a modicum of sadism torturing Iron Man, mocking Captain America's death to his son James, but worst of all, murdering most of the Avengers. And if the "story time" segment at the beginning of the movie is any indication, he raised his fist and celebrated after killing the Avengers.
