Ultima is the main antagonist of the 2023 video game Final Fantasy XVI. He is the god of Valisthea who created the world, but left humanity out of narcissism, who plans to use Clive who he nicknamed Mythos to destroy the world and recreate it into his own image.

He was voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto in the Japanese dub, while also being voiced by Harry Lloyd in the English dub.

What makes him Pure Evil?

• While he created humanity, he only created them in order to be worshipped.
  • He saw the humanity as failure & inferior beings who abuse their power by magic and technology (A crime that Ultima is also guilty of), thus he tried to wipe them out by manipulating them into their destruction out of spite.
• Was responsible for various wars between various kingdoms, such as the downfall of Sanbreque Empire, as Olivier Lesage, Annabella's new child, and the destruction of the Grand Duchy of Rosaria as the hooded man, as Anabella takes the part by orchestrating the murder of her husband, Elwin Rosfield.
• Made Barnabas worship him, leading to various deaths caused by him.
• Uses Typhon to kill Cidolfus "Cid" Telamon.
• Attempts to use Clive who he nicknamed Mythos as his vessel in order to destroy the world and recreate it to his own image.
• Killed Dion Lesage while defending Joshua to rescue Clive Rosfield.
• Killed Joshua in front of Clive in order to become whole again.

Trivia

• Ultima is (so far) the only villain of Final Fantasy XVI to be Pure Evil.
  • This makes him similar to Bahamut in FFXV, perhaps intentionally so.
