Tiberiu Bulat is one of the three main antagonists in Volume 5 of The Punisher MAX, along with his son Cristu and Vera Konstantin. He is the head soldier of a New York City human trafficking operation set up by him and Cristu. Overall, he stands out as the most horrifying of the bunch due to his wanton bloodlust.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before their debut, he and Cristu had already committed genocide during the Yugoslav Wars, killing over 1,800 Muslims across 12 different villages.
- He and Cristu set up a forced prostitution ring in New York City, trafficking countless young foreign women into sex slavery for profit. The women are immediately raped upon their abduction to break their wills so they'll know who's in charge, and the trauma was so brutal that it stayed with them even after they finally got away somehow.
- Definitely the worst case from this entire operation, however, is a Moldovan girl named Viorica. She was repeatedly raped and beaten by 4-20 men every single day since her abduction at the age of 15 (when she was abused for an entire 24 hours), and her father denounced her dead to him as she became pregnant with her daughter Anna, who Cristu only allowed Viorica to see once a week so she'd "work harder". The slavers kidnapped and killed Anna soon after Viorica escaped.
- Furthermore, according to Viorica herself, Tiberiu even used his ice-cold fingers to penetrate her before buying her and three other girls for himself. So basically, not only is he in charge of an operation where other evil men can pay to rape whenever they want, he himself is a rapist too.
- Unlike Cristu and Vera, Tiberiu is a true-blue sadist who lacks pragmatism. When seven African-American gangsters are caught dealing on his turf, he gouges one's eyes out and then shoots the rest with a machine gun just for fun, rather than simply killing one and sparing the rest to leave a message. He also tortures another gangster by pouring hot water on him.
- When the Punisher tracks him down at one of his illegal whorehouses, Tiberiu cowardly uses one of his own henchmen and then one of the imprisoned forced prostitutes as human shields.
