The Van are the overarching antagonists of Two Dragons, an alternate universe fanfic based on Cowboy Bebop by SolidSocialistShiba. The smug & cowardly elders that preside over all of the Red Dragon operations, having bult their empire by picking off destitute soldiers and orphans with nowhere left to go and breaking them all into pawns that would handle all of their dirty work while they sat comfortably at the headquarters. However, their smug cowardliness gets back at them when one of their top assassins, Vicious, conspires against them and kills them all to usurp control over the Red Dragons, being missed by no one.

What Makes Them Pure Evil?

• Preys on destitute soldiers and orphans on the streets who have nothing else to live for in life, breaks them into pawns and killers they use to handle their dirty work while leaving them as nothing more than broken shells.
• Floods the galaxy with dangerous drugs & weapons while also being responsible for multiple acts of mass murder that has claimed at least hundreds, if not thousands of lives, and is responsible for the massive trail of bodies behind Vicious and multiple other assassins as well.
• Employs a cruel policy to have everyone seeking to resign from the Red Dragons Syndicate be executed for being deemed "traitors".
• After executing everyone they deemed "traitors", the Van will order the entire neighborhoods where they all lived in be wiped out entirely, having ordered Vicious to do so to Joseph Dru's entire neighborhood.
• When Spike seemingly betrays them, they appoint Vicious out of mere sadism of having Spike be executed by his best friend. And as Spike calls them out on, similar incidents have happened multiple times on the past.
• Overall were such a vile ruling cabal, nobody at all missed them when Vicious kills them, being quite easily his least sympathetic victims, and out of disgust for their behaviors and crimes, their own organization didn't bother of honoring them as well and simply had them tossed out into the nearest incinerator.
