The Sorcerer is a major antagonist of the Spyro franchise, serving as the overarching antagonist of the 2004 platform game Spyro: A Hero's Tail and the main antagonist of the 2005 action role-playing game Spyro: Shadow Legacy.
He is an evil dragon in disguise throughout the campaign who is responsible for causing the Calamity that drained most of the magic from the world.
His vocal grunts were done by Jess Harnell.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is a supremacist, believing that he is a true dragon, whereas other dragons are not.
- He corrupted Red with his magic, and ordered him to place life-draining Dark Gems across the realms to poison the life of the world.
- After defeating Red, he created Shadow Amplifier Machines to pull everyone into the Shadow Realm so he could drain them of their magic, which involves torturing and leaving them to die there.
- He orders Red to use Bianca as bait for Spyro so he can kill him, while also using Red as a scapegoat as the one responsible for his actions.
- When Spyro refuses to become the Sorcerer's apprentice, the Sorcerer deems him too small and weak, and attempts to kill him for interfering his plans.
