“ | Seren. these whispers of rebellion, they make your children weep. Accept anguish. Internalize it. You'll be more at peace. Hiding these fugitives of the Lucian army...we all know it hurts them worse in the end. | „ |

“ | The last Immortal! [...] Sandrakk thought you might return here. Gutter rats prefer a familiar nest. Where's the traitor? I kill you both, I can finally leave this sh*thole and have it all thrown into the Wound. | „ |

The Morbane is a supporting antagonist of Immortals of Aveum. He is a high-ranking Magnus of the kingdom of Rasharn and a devoted follower of Sandrakk. He helps lead the forces of Rasharn in Sandrakk's march to conquer Aveum.
What Make Him Pure Evil?[]
- As one of Sandrakk's generals and his personal butcher, he was implicitly involved in many of the Magnus's crimes throughout the Everwar and likely took part in killing many innocent people and conquering other kingdoms in his name.
- At the supposed peace summit at Nocea, he attempts to attack and kill Kirkan when she tries to ambush him, Sandrakk, and Luna and only stopped because Sandrakk gave him the order to stand down.
- Following Sandrakk's destruction of the Palathon, he takes over Jak and Luna's home city of Seren to hunt the 2 down following the latter's defection from Rasharn. During his month-long rule of the city, he would hire thugs into his ranks and have them oppress the people, who were beaten in the streets or even killed for minor offenses. There are sightings of would-be dissenters being hung by their necks throughout the city, leaving no doubt about how horribly the citizens of Seren are treated under the Morbanes rule.
- His soldiers are shown to have no qualms about killing children either for petty theft.
- The fact that Seren was Jak and Luna's home in their youth makes the Morbanes oppression of the city a deeply personal act of villainy for them in particular, making it worse.
- His soldiers are shown to have no qualms about killing children either for petty theft.
- He hosts a public execution of a Lucian soldier hiding in Seren, slowly and painfully burning the captive to dust in the town square. It's implied by his wording, where he mentions other fugitives of the army hiding in the city, that he's held similar executions throughout the month.
- When confronting Jak and Luna, he reveals that after he kills them, he's planning to destroy all of Seren by having the city and everyone in it thrown into the Wound out of spite towards the 2 for making him come to the "sh*thole" in the first place. This is made worse due to the Wound being established as erasing anything that falls into it from existence completely, meaning he was going to wipe an entire city from existence out of spite.
- Him contemptuously calling the people "gutter rats" when addressing Jak also implies that he is classist towards Seren's people.
- Although he serves Sandrakk, there's no indication that he is truly loyal to the Magnus or Rasharn in general, with him likely serving Sandrakk to satisfy his sadism. This is reinforced by him voicing his displeasure at being ordered to occupy Seren and being eager to kill Jak and Luna so he could leave as soon as possible.
- He manages to pass the heinous standard by oppressing the people of Seren, killing them for petty crimes, burning Lucian soldiers alive on screen, and attempting to destroy Seren out of pettiness. Although Sandrakk did worse than him, his resources are higher than the Morbanes, making this comparison unfair.
