The Man Who Can't Breathe, sometimes called the Man Who Lives in the Vents or the Wheezing Demon, is the main antagonist of Insidious: Chapter 3.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Desired to kill humans by possessing living people and forcing their bodies to commit suicide. Once their mortal bodies were dead, he traps their souls in his section of the Further to torment them for eternity.
- Possessed Quinn and emotionally tormented her dad by attempting to force her body to commit suicide.
- Pretended to be Elise's late husband and nearly convinced her to commit suicide.
- When Elise and Quinn almost escape the Further, he grabs Quinn's soul and holds her captive.
- Feels absolutely no remorse whatsoever
- Has been killing for years
- Trying to enslave Quinn for mostly sadistic pleasure
- Has no redeeming or sympathy filled qualities
Trivia[]
- Unlike most of the demons (The Woman in White or The Bride in Black), who desired to return to mortal life by inhabiting human bodies, The Man who can't breathe preferred to stay dead in the Further. (Possibly due to the abilities he gained).
