Get out of the house!
~ The Invader's most famous quote.
But I think everything will be solved. I think I'll reveal everything to you. And soon, really soon, you will know everything. You'll find out everything. And also will find out... who I am.
~ The Invader telling Rezende he'll soon know his history.

The Invader is the titular main antagonist of rezendeevil's 2017 first live-action thriller web series Invasor: A Série (Invader: The Series), which was based on real life events with the same YouTuber.

He is the sadistic twin brother of Pedro Rezende, whom he wishes revenge upon for their backstory involving Pedro accidentally setting their old wooden house on fire, which killed both their biological parents and disfigured his face, making everyone around him disgusted ever since, but foremost for unknowingly moving back and living happily in the new house on the same spot where their story began. Wishing Pedro to suffer the most possible, he then begins a dark pursue by constantly breaking and entering his house, breaking things inside and attempting to hurt or kill people.

It's unknown who portrayed him in the first half of the series. In the second half, he was portrayed by the then channel manager Ace while masked and sharing the screen with the protagonist, and while both were not sharing screen, he was portrayed by the YouTuber rezendeevil/Pedro Rezende himself, who also portrayed Valron's present self in Wizards Academy.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • Although his past is genuinely tragic (with his twin Pedro Rezende accidentally setting their old house ablaze while playing with fire, killing their parents and permanently disfiguring his face, which afterwards made everyone repulsed of his appearance and instead giving all the attention and love to Pedro to the point Pedro eventually got adopted while The Invader never did), it ends up not holding up to any of his crimes, as it is never treated as valid reasoning for his actions nor is it played for sympathy. In fact, all the sympathy of their backstory goes instead to Pedro, given he had to deal with The Invader's persistent sadistic desires to torment and even kill him in a self-righteous claim that he had to suffer for causing the accident, which is ridiculous since Pedro was only 3 years old at the time and thus was never guilty at all, something The Invader was already aware of but intentionally ignored for the sake of his own twisted sense of justice, making The Invader's attempts to use his past to justify his evil nature nothing but petty.
    • It's important noting that even the main characters mutually conclude that The Invader's past does not justify his crimes whatsoever and that he was irredeemably evil simply because he liked it (which even The Invader himself pridefully admits to be). Cadet Rodrigues even metaphorically points out that The Invader "chose" not to be Pedro's brother due to how he was deliberately being the polar opposite of what the true meaning of being a sibling is, which is to love and care for the other.
    • All the discrimination he went through during his youth doesn't come close to justifying his nature either, since even The Invader himself is aware that he became no better (and incomparably worse even) than the people who mistreated him for his scars, something even Pedro and Rodrigues call him out for and say it's no reason why he couldn't have started a new and better life with Pedro, thus making everybody else simple bullies at worst and reducing the tragedy of his part to a mere surmountable inconvenience.
    • Even with Pedro giving The Invader opportunities to reveal and explain the reason for him to be so cruel towards him and saying this could also give them a chance to settle things between them more peacefully, The Invader stubbornly refused to comply with his pleas and kept tormenting him in every horrible way he could conceive as though Pedro already knew everything and had caused the incident on purpose, even by putting innocent lives at risk. Even considering The Invader already knew of Pedro's innocence and lack of awareness of their past from the get-go, this still emphasizes how delusional and personally evil towards Pedro The Invader truly is as he wants nothing but to satisfy his twisted desire to make justice by making Pedro "pay" for something he wasn't even guilty for to begin with. It's also implied The Invader was purposely not telling Pedro the whole truth as a tactic to make him even more afflicted, given how unfair it is to be so cruel to someone without there being any reasoning for it.
  • While the reasons for his cruelty towards Rezende suggest that he still cared about his family, since he constantly referred to the death of their parents as his main motivation, this is proven not to be the case in the end since he is always willing to psychologically torment Pedro each time in more disturbing manners despite Pedro being his own twin brother, not to mention he was given a handful of chances to either redeem with Pedro beside him or to at least understand that what Pedro caused was merely an accident because of how young he was. Even if The Invader was already aware of all this, he still refused to accept it and continued to torment and attempting to kill him, leaving clear he is perfectly fine with harming his own family.
    • Furthermore, what subverts this above all else is how he ended up accepting and embracing his evil nature and how much he actually enjoyed hurting and killing people, as he made clear he never wanted to change and would proceed to kill Pedro's friends and adoptive family after killing him simply for being associated with him, even when they had nothing to do with his life. This proves he is now driven only by sheer sadism and has shed any possible care he may have had for his family, and would only mention his backstory as a petty attempt to justify his bloodthirsty desires.
  • Despite his constant claims that he was not a killer and didn't want to kill anyone and even displaying some hesitance moments before he tried to claim a victim, this is not mitigating or redeeming since he would always still proceed to try and murder whoever he targeted, and still kept lying to himself and all the others that he never intended to kill anybody and that he didn't actually killed his past victims, Virgínia and Ace, even after embracing his sadistic nature and admitting he really enjoyed killing people, highlighting his hypocrisy.
    • He even tries to push the blame on the objects and weapons he used to kill them as a way to say they were what actually caused their deaths and not him, showing how ridiculous he can be to justify his crimes.
  • With The Invader leaving clear he never wanted to let go of his psychopathic nature, it's implied that, after killing Pedro, his family and friends, he would still live as a criminal who would seek to torment other people to either just get a kick out of their suffering or to get whatever he wanted from them, another proof that The Invader is motivated by his own sadism, which no longer has anything to do with his past.
  • Unlike his henchmen who stuck to their redeeming qualities and mitigating factors, like Virgínia, Stella and his fourth helper, The Invader managed to subvert all of his possible redeeming qualities and mitigating factors he had by the end, making him stand out as much worse than them, with The Invader even mocking some of them for being able to feel compassion.
  • He has no problems in tormenting and murdering minors even when they clearly weren't threats to him, as he displays full willingness and sadistic enjoyment in wanting to kill Rezende's adoptive brother and threatening the little sister of his fourth helper, who, by dialogue, is heavily implied to be younger than 10. He even displays clear awareness of how horrible it is to kill innocent minors and exploits it to intentionally make both Pedro and his helper even more afflicted.
  • He doesn't demonstrate any genuine appreciation for his henchmen's loyalty and efforts to so much as try to accomplish his orders, and is non-hesitant at wanting to kill them if they fail, showing he doesn't care for them and only sees them as useful for himself. Any act of "gratitude" or reward he may give them is merely pragmatism to make sure they stay loyal to him. It's also important noticing he mostly threatens them into obedience, like when he threatens to kill Stella if she ever snitched on him or killing his fourth helper's family if he failed him again.
  • He had a twisted logic that Pedro would become a killer just like him if he ever killed anyone himself, something Pedro swore to never do, not even to The Invader. So he elaborated various schemes to make Pedro kill and break his morals, such as promising to leave him alone if he killed Cadet Rodrigues and making him almost kill Adriano unaware that what he promised to be a salvation was what would actually have caused Adriano's death.

Crimes[]

  • He admits to have started stalking Pedro ever since he got adopted, with implications he was already planning on how to have his revenge on him.
  • He constantly invaded Rezende's house shortly after he moved in, breaking objects inside, leaving threat messages and tormenting the dwellers as attempts to scare them away of that house.
  • He poisoned Rezende's soda, making him convulse and nearly killing him if he hadn't gotten to the hospital in time.
    • His deeds by this far made Pokey so scared he decided to betray Rezende and Dexter and move away to somebody else's house afraid of what The Invader could do next.
  • He convinced Virgínia to work for him as his informant by pretending to be a police reporter to the dwellers so he could get their information more easily and without them suspecting.
  • He called Rezende via his phone and swore to destroy him and everything he loved if he didn't move away, making loud noises to frighten him and his companion Dexter shortly after he hung up.
  • He knocked out Cadet Rodrigues and Rezende, then locked Rezende in his backyard pantry, preventing his help cries from being heard, giving him severe headache and leading him to faint.
  • He removed Rodrigues' magazine from his gun to prevent Rodrigues from shooting him in their next encounter, and enjoyed the moment to threaten death to him if he didn't stop interfering in his plans, which made Rodrigues temporarily quit his job as a cop out of fear.
  • He scribbled Rodrigues' shot with a red X and placed it in an abandoned building so the dwellers could find it (after being sent there by Virgínia) and think Rodrigues had been killed.
  • He attempted to break into Rezende's office while he and Adriano were streaming. Since he is caught on camera holding a knife, he most likely had the intention to kill them.
  • He had Virgínia hide a walkie talkie radio under Rezende's office table so he could hear the dwellers.
    • Upon hearing their plan to capture him, The Invader called upon a nearby graffiti tagger and bribed him with 200 reais to go in his place to trick them.
  • When he showed up at Pedro's house as response for them goading him to go there through the radio they found, he kept constantly shouting and storming at Pedro for refusing to move out of the house, and didn't act civilized at any moment even with Pedro politely asking him to give an explanation to why he was doing all that to him. He even almost angrily assaulted Rezende when he kept begging him to tell the reasons for his crimes and gave him and his friends 24 hours to move out for good, not caring whether or not it would be easy for them.
  • He attempted to stab Rezende to death, as he had sworn the night before, after the 24 hours were up - only couldn't because Rodrigues arrived just in time to shoot The Invader and make him flee.
  • He planned a fake date with Virgínia, who clearly started to like him, so he could poison her to death as punishment for "causing problems" to him while also sadistically watching her die. Before she died, he kept rejecting her redeeming offers about forgetting Rezende to live a normal life, vowing he would "finish what he had started".
    • Though Rezende and his crew later on find clues in The Invader's hideout that he might have reciprocated Virgínia's feelings at some point, like when they find her name written on his board linked to the words Love and Hate, it clearly shows that, even if he ever felt something for her, he deliberately chose to hate her instead, since the word Love was scribbled over with an X and as shown when he sadistically enjoys watching her die a few episodes earlier.
  • He placed Virgínia's corpse in Rezende's backyard, driving Pedro, Dexter and Adriano to complete despair. What makes it worse is that they touch her body hoping to wake her up, and later Rodrigues says they three could be wrongfully arrested simply for touching her body, since the police considers guilty for murder those whose fingerprints are found and confirmed to have been the last ones to have touched the body. Although not thoroughly confirmed, this heavily implies that The Invader had the intention of framing them for Virgínia's death and indirectly sending them to jail.
  • He exploited Stella's corrupt personality to bribe her with 100.000,00 reais in cash via a ghost account so she could help him manipulate Rezende as he ordered. Among those orders were making Rezende leave the house by having a fight and argument with one of his friends, who turned out to be Adriano, and threatening suffering to his adoptive mother if he didn't return to the house a few days later.
  • He somehow had managed to drug the dwellers' foods that they ate in their supper with a somniferous substance, even Stella's, and took them to a dark shed while they were out. When they woke up, he mocked them for thinking they would be safe right on Christmas night. All because Adriano had stolen the music box from his hideout.
  • Although he freed Stella from the shed, it was only because he had already paid her and thus saw her as no longer needed for his plans, even deriding her as disgusting and threatens to find and kill her if she ever told anyone what happened.
  • He locked Rezende, Dexter and Adriano in a gas chamber and left them to be asphyxiated - luckily not dying only because Stella came back to save them.
  • He kidnapped Rezende's adoptive brother João Vitor, who was just 15, and had the tagger back to hold him hostage in his hideout while recording a video to display in Rezende's computer, and texted Rezende to meet him alone in a specific location and without telling anyone, threatening to kill João should he stray from his orders.
    • Even after Pedro obliged all of The Invader's demands, as well as refusing again and again to reveal his motivations despite Pedro's pleas, The Invader tricked Rezende into believing he was convinced of releasing João and still order his execution through the phone while turning on the loudspeaker so Rezende could hear the gunshot out loud (which was actually Rodrigues killing the Pixador), breaking Rezende's spirit and making him attack The Invader in rage.
    • While fighting Rezende, The Invader kept provoking him about not knowing if his parents were safe either and about him having "failed" to save João.
    • Eventually, this made Rezende even feel guilty while mourning João's supposed death, showing that The Invader is able to inflict self-loathing into other people with his actions even with them knowing they're not guilty at all.
  • He kidnapped Adriano and kept him hostage for 25 days while also violently torturing him, as one of those times is heard from a phone call Adriano has with Rezende a day after being kidnapped.
  • He sent Rezende a heart in a box in order to terrify him and think he had killed Adriano. In reality, as analyzed by Rodrigues in his department lab, the heart The Invader sent was actually a goat's heart, confirming The Invader's animal cruelty crime.
  • In order to make Rezende weak enough to peacefully talk to him, he used Adriano to lure Rezende towards an abandoned house and have him shot in the stomach by his fourth helper. Although The Invader personally admits that the shot wasn't meant to kill him, it doesn't exclude the fact he knew the injury could have been much worse to the point of killing Pedro.
    • Though this moment in specific could be considered sympathetic, it is not a mitigating factor since this is the only moment The Invader has ever come close to being sympathetic at all, and it's completely subverted later on due to The Invader continuing to indulge in his horrible acts and embracing his evil nature, shedding any possible sympathy he could have.
  • He orders his helper to kill Rezende and Rodrigues, which backfires and makes the helper get caught in Rezende and Rodrigues' trap.
  • He threatened to kill his helper's entire family, especially his little sister (a child), and force him to watch it should he fail in killing Cadet Rodrigues in his next attempt.
  • When The Invader and his helper were chased by the police while scheming in an empty house, The Invader left the helper behind to be shot to death, not expressing any care for his death afterwards.
  • He exploited Rezende's possession of his poison by making a deal of promising he would finally release Adriano and leave Rezende alone forever if he used it to kill Cadet Rodrigues and showed him his corpse - a deal he would certainly dishonor as well, as stated by Rodrigues.
  • He killed Ace, the scientist who made the poison, for giving it to the wrong person without confirming if it was actually The Invader.
  • Once he is revealed to be Rezende's twin brother, the level of his crimes are taken to a worse level, since he turns out to have attempted to commit fratricide multiple times.
  • After revealing himself to Rezende, he screamed at him in rage, swearing he was going to kill him.
  • Although he freed Adriano after seeing Rodrigues' "corpse," he somehow knew his death would actually be staged, so he used Adriano for another plan.
    • Before killing the scientist, he demands him to make an apparent deadly substance to infect Adriano with. He then released Adriano, waited to be caught by Rodrigues and waited for the substance to take effect on Adriano, which makes them think Adriano was dying. The Invader tells Rodrigues that he was the only one who had the antidote to save Adriano, which morally forces Rodrigues to release him from his custody. However, Adriano wakes up right when Rezende was about to give him the antidote, revealing what he had been infected with was not deadly after all. Afterwards, Rodrigues confirms Adriano would've been killed had Rezende really given him the substance, since he brings the results from its analysis confirming the "antidote" was the actual poison - making The Invader dishonorable again.
  • He lures Cadet Rodrigues to meet and fight him alone and taunts him saying only one of them would get out alive and that he was very hard to kill. As such, after their fight, Rodrigues attempts to shoot him dead, but The Invader still resists the shot and plays dead to lure Rodrigues towards him and ultimately infecting him with his knife soaked in a poison which slowly and painfully killed Rodrigues. The Invader also takes sadistic pleasure in watching Rodrigues agonize to death, while also taunting him about what he said about being hard to kill.
    • After Rodrigues' funeral, he goes to his grave and cuts the banner with his name for no apparent reason other than to symbolize his hatred for him.
    • This is, alongside his attempt to have João murdered, one of the two apexes of The Invader's villainy, with the first one being due to almost having killed a minor who had absolutely nothing to do with his or Rezende's history, and the other because he had actually succeeded in killing a major character of the series, which also made the main trio conclude that The Invader was indeed never going to redeem himself and that no one was actually safe from him. This even made Pedro start to actually consider killing The Invader despite promising himself he would never kill him, but wanted to do so not just for vengeance but also for realizing this could be the only option left to end The Invader's terror once and for all, highlighting how dangerous he is if left alive.
  • Before his last encounter with Rezende, he kept taunting and provoking Rezende through the phone about how much he enjoyed killing Rodrigues while describing his death in as much detail as possible to intentionally enrage Pedro. The Invader was also aware of the fact Rodrigues had a family of two children and a wife, and when Pedro calls him out for that, he didn't care and exploits it to take even more pleasure in making Pedro angrier.
  • He meets Rezende one last time with the intention to kill him for good. Besides, during their last talk before their final fight, The Invader kept provoking Rezende saying he was to blame for all the crimes he did and that he was being foolish for not wanting to kill him, also personally making himself clear he would never redeem himself from the monster he is aware to be.
  • He kept encouraging Pedro to kill him during their last fight to make Pedro see himself as a killer equal to him.
  • He attacked Pedro one last time when the latter had his back turned, knocking him out until the next morning. This was ultimately his undoing as Pedro was picking up The Invader's knife from the ground which led to the former accidentally stabbing the latter as they both fell, killing The Invader and ending his terror for good.
    • However, the ambiguity of the ending still leaves implied The Invader might have survived somehow and was continuing to plot against Pedro with a new group of criminals. Although this is highly unlikely, since it's shown that The Invader had lost lots of blood after getting stabbed and was completely motionless afterwards, it's still also a possibility due to how resistant to wounds he was shown to be, like the times he was shot by Rodrigues and still was able to survive and quickly recover.
  • Even in death, The Invader still managed to get what he wanted, as Pedro explains that the struggles The Invader put him through were so traumatizing that he and his friends decided it was for the best to permanently move out of the house in order to avoid any possible future problems despite their certainty that The Invader was finally gone and could no longer hurt them.
