The Huntsman, also known as Huntsmaster, is the main antagonist of the Disney Channel animated series American Dragon: Jake Long.
He is is the leader of The Huntsclan who was the one that kidnapped Rose. He is also the arch-enemy of Jake Long and Rose.
He was voiced by Jeff Bennett, who also voiced Mozenrath in Aladdin: The Series, Dick Hardly in The Powerpuff Girls and Zs'Skayr in Ben 10: Alien Force.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He and his army kidnapped Rose from her family after she was born.
- He kidnapped several children before and after Rose and trained them to be like him.
- He throws any ninja soldiers who failed him to face the Kraken or other vicious monsters in a public arena.
- His tragedy of being indoctrinated into the Huntsclan, bullied by his peers and knocked into a pit imprisoning a vicious dragon which disfigured him as a youth, makes him doing the same to youths in the Huntsman even worse as he has firsthand experience how horrible those experiences are.
- Attempted to kill and eradicate all magical creatures on the planet.
- Kidnapped and attempted to slay Councilor Kulde, Councilor Andam, and Councilor Chang (one who works for the Dark Dragon).
- Given that he had Huntsboys #88 and #89 retrieve an Aztec Skull, he put the boys in danger by making them fight a giant snake.
- When Huntsboys #88 and #89 went back to him without the magic mirror, he threw them in the Kraken. It’s also revealed that he threw them in the Kraken before.
- Killed magical creatures that allied with him once he no longer needed them.
- He threatened Rose that he'll kill her parents if she doesn't lead him to the Aztec Skulls. This resulted in him being killed and defeated by her.
- Despite having a few comedic moments, with some that can be considered detracting (like when he got defeated during his first encounter with the American Dragon due to him farting fire at him and when he tried to convince the magical creatures to attack the dragons by paying them double), Season 2, especially in his last appearance before his demise in Homecoming plays him completely seriously.
- Unlike most villains who had at least a few redeeming qualities or honor, he has none and has become one of Jake Long's greatest enemies, other than The Dark Dragon.

- He is the only villain in American Dragon: Jake Long to be Pure Evil.
- Initially Huntsman was going to kill Sun Park with a reluctant Rose, but Disney vetoed this for being too dark.
