Your pain. Your blood. Your terror. Delicious. Dance, puppets - you have fulfilled your role. Dance for me, one last time.
~ The God-King upon being reawakened.
And so the cycle continues. This is not the end, small ones. This is not the end.
~ The God-King after being defeated.

The God-King is the overarching antagonist of the Nazi Zombies mode of the 2017 video game Call of Duty: WWII. He takes Peter Straub's place as the main antagonist of the mode after his death at the Battle of Berlin. He is also the final boss of "The Frozen Dawn" DLC map and the Zombies mode.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • The God-King was once the ruler of the Thulian civilization that existed in prehistorical times, and was killed by the raven lords led by Rook and his body sealed away in his throne because the civilization was suffering from his tyranny.
  • His spirit, which was contained in his sword, corrupted Frederick Barbarossa when he found it and he became a power-hungry tyrant just like him and wanted to use the magical sword to enslave the entire world. This was thwarted when Barbarossa was killed and the sword broken into pieces.
  • After Peter Straub and his Nazi faction found the sword hilt in Mittleburg, God-King taught him how to use the sword to transform thousands of innocent people in zombies, creating an army which the God-King would intend to use.
  • Once Straub was killed by his own creations, God-King took control of the zombie army and spread it throughout multiple parts of the world, resulting in countless (probably millions) deaths and the victims would then become part of his zombified army and continue to ravage the world.
  • When a newly formed Bureau of Archaic Technologies sent the Raven team to the lost city of Thule in Antartica to use the rebuilt sword to destroy God-King's influence, he has secretly corrupted Vivian Harris into betraying the team before using the sword to reawaken him.
  • After God-King had reawakened, he killed Vivian once she had served her purpose.
  • God-King then tries to kill the rest of the Raven team before embarking on his ambitions to rule the world after it is decimated by his zombie army, only to be defeated and his influence destroyed by the team, who had been transformed by Klaus (now the new Rook) into the Raven Lords.
  • While Straub is Pure Evil since he directly created the zombie army by conducting horrific experiments on people out of his own free will, it was God-King who gave him the means to create his army and allowing him to kill thousands for his army only to later assume control over and wreak havoc across the world.
  • It is implied that the zombies killed Straub on God-King's orders to take control of his army.
  • He cared very little for his pawns, killing them without hesitation or mercy once he had no further use for them.
  • He once claimed his wish to continue having zombies decimate the world until there was nothing left was so that there would be no opposition to his rule, meaning he was willing to commit omnicide just so he could take it over.
  • There is no indication that there are any well intentions behind his actions other than wanting to rule however he wants because he feels entitles to being a king.
  • Despite being undead, his ability to speak proves that he does have a clear moral agency and shows that has complete control over his actions.
