The Faceless Hunter is the secondary antagonist of season 2 in the 2008 television show, Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

He is an alien hunter that came from the planet Klaramar. He is a herald to Starro as he helps his master travel many planets to take over and brainwash several people with starfish attached to their face.

He was voiced by John DiMaggio, who also voices The Joker in Batman: Under the Red Hood, Brother Blood in Teen Titans, Toyman in Superman: Doomsday, Rough Cut in DC Showcase: Catwoman and Vulkanus, Aggregor and Ragnarok in the Ben 10 franchise.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He came from a race, who are peaceful, while he himself is an outcast for being violent person, showing he is already evil to begin with.
    • When Starro came to Faceless Hunter's planet to brainwash Cull's race, it failed as they were immune to Starro's control. Before Starro was about to leave, Cull made a deal with Starro to destroy his planet, and in exchange, he agreed to be Starro's herald, who would travel other planets to prepare for Starro's arrival, showing Cull's willingness to sell out his own race.
    • While it may seem that The Faceless Hunter is loyal to Starro, he's only joined to satisfy his own interest of hunting and killing people.
  • During his time as Starro's herald, he has been killing several fighters and collected their corpses to be used as trophies for the Hall of Vanquish Heroes.
  • When he arrived on Earth, he brainwashed most heroes except for Batman, Booster Gold, Captain Marvel, B'wana Beast, and Firestorm.
    • He also killed heroes, who were immune to brainwashing, as he already killed Red Tornado.
    • He also had several civilians, who has not been brainwashed, to be used for Starro to absorb their lifeforce.
    • After seeing B'wana Beast's power to merge animals into one, Cull was interested in the power not the person for his own evil agenda. When Starro was defeated by Captain Marvel, Faceless Hunter abducted B'wana Beast in his spaceship.
    • When B'wana Beast tried to reason the Faceless Hunter that Starro was defeated and should not be his slave anymore, the latter revealed his past to the former, showing he is aware of his own action and choose to be evil.
    • Faceless Hunter tortured B'wana Beast into using his power to morph Starro into a more powerful and dangerous giant monster that was capable of absorbing lifeforces into making them into a shrivel husk. Also, he planned to use Starro by creating a giant tuning fork that can cause massive earthquake all over the world and potentially destroy earth had it not been the help of the Metal Men.
    • He tried to kill Batman, who arrived in a spaceship to rescue B'wana Beast, to prevent him from foiling his plan. Faceless Hunter intends to have Batman's corpse as a trophy.
    • Although Faceless Hunter was defeated, he was indirectly responsible for B'wana Beast's death when the latter had to sacrifice his life to undo Starro's transformation and save earth.
  • Although the series is known to be lighthearted and campy, Faceless Hunter is taken completely seriously without any redeeming qualities.
