ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF. I AM YOUR END!
~ The Devourer introducing itself.

The Devourer is the overarching antagonist of the Epic Battle Fantasy series, serving as the main antagonist of Epic Battle Fantasy 5. It created the universe to control it for its own amusement until the player started interfering with its simulations. Now, the Devourer seeks to maintain its control of the universe and does whatever it can to rid it of the player's influence.

What Makes It Pure Evil?[]

  • The Devourer first created the Epic Battle Fantasy universe, so it could manipulate it for its own amusement.
  • When it first found out about the player influencing the universe, the Devourer tried everything in its power to get rid of their influence, such as resetting the universe multiple times as well as creating Akron and Godcat who respectively attempted to wipe out all life and humanity from the face of Earth, with Godcat having destroyed civilizations in the past, making it responsible for their actions.
    • It would also put Akron and Godcat in minor roles in the new iteration of the universe as punishment for their failures.
  • After resetting the universe, the Devourer would send a meteor crashing into Earth to summon the Cosmic Monoliths, with likely hundreds dying from the impact.
  • The Cosmic Monoliths themselves would cause the monsters to become more agressive, with some of them killing several of Redpine Town's residents, making the Devourer responsible for those deaths.
  • It's later revealed that the Devourer left a corruption within the fabric of space and time that would consume the whole universe if it's not stopped in time.
  • Throughout the battle, the Devourer would blast a giant laser that splits Earth in half twice, likely killing countless in process.
  • Later in the battle, the Devourer would begin to reset the universe again, starting by deleting Earth.
    • This would give the heroes the permanent "Delete" status effect which deals more and more damage to them as the fight and can't be removed.
  • In the version 2.0 of the game, should the player capture the Devourer and summon it in a battle in the New Game+, the Devourer will force the game to close by deleting the universe.
