~ The Cook upon burning some captives alive. |
The Cook is the main antagonist of the Far Cry 5 side mission "A Dish Served Cold". He is a sadistic and fanatical member of Joseph Seed's cult who is only in it for the chance to torture others to satisfy his sadistic desires.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He gained his alias "The Cook" due to being known for burning his victims alive.
- He broke into Jessica Black's family home and kidnapped her and her entire family and then proceeded to torture them by starving them and depriving them of water.
- After three days, Jess and her family got so thirsty they had to drink their own urine to survive. Jess and her sister didn't want to do it so their parents had to force their genitals in their mouths and forcefully urinate into their mouths, which ended up with Jess and her sister vomiting it back up straight away. The Cook didn't like this, so he took the parents and crucified them in the hot sun.
- After he crucified Jess's parents, he faux affably offered pork to Jess and her sister which they both agreed to due to them feeling starved. However, The Cook cut off the toes of their parents and fed them to Jess and her sister and then proceeded to burn their parents alive in front of them.
- He kidnapped many innocent people with the intention to burn them alive as there are many charred bodies around his camps.
- When he is first introduced physically, he is seen burning a person alive with the person screaming in agony with the The Cook displaying Social Darwinism, saying "The weak are impure and unworthy" believing the strong should be kept alive, referring to himself as he believes he has "god's righteous flames"
- Despite his murder of Jess's family being off screen, Jess's story is told with very gruesome detail and during the story you can even hear people burning to death.
- Despite only appearing in one mission, The Cook stands out with his limited resources, unique crime of enforced cannibalism, and brutal torture methods.
- While Joseph Seed and the other Peggies were mostly Extremists, The Cook doesn't possess the noble traits and only wants to cause destruction for his sadistic pleasure rather than a genuine cause.
