The Claw is one of the main antagonists of the Lev Gleason Publications universe alongside Adolf Hitler, being the titular main antagonist of the series of the same name and the Daredevil series.
He is the demonic ruler of the island nation of Ricca and the alien planet Zylmarx, seeking to rule the Earth and gain power for himself - going so far as to team up with the Nazis and Axis Powers to further his goal. The Claw is also the archenemy of both Daredevil (Bart Hill) and The Ghost.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Was born evil from the beginning despite the best efforts of the villagers of Death's Head trying to raise him. When his powers grow, he escapes the prison he was held in, killing several prison guards and killing several innocents before finally taking over Ricca. Reducing the country into a dictatorship where everyone is miserable and oppressed.
- He abuses his minions on a daily basis, even killing them in gruesome ways should they fail him such as crushing them or torturing them mentally with nightmares. At one point, he crushes his goons to death by stomping on them to death or flinging one to his war machines to die on impact. It is also reveals he keeps his minions loyal by giving them addictive dreams but punishes them with nightmares they should any slight signs of defiance.
- Runs a pirate operation, where he sends his minions to raid ships to rob them of their supplies to aid in his ambitions of world conquest. Later on, when Jerry Morris leads a band of sailors to rescue his companion Elois Pearsall, the Claw orders one of his men to burn them all to death.
- He teams up with Hitler to take over the world, but clearly has nothing but disdain for the evil European dictator and plans to betray him so he can rule the world for himself. He abuses Hitler on almost every turn, from threatening to kill him or using him as a human shield against his arch-foe.
- Has women kidnapped to make them his "Queens", but not out of any genuine desire for love of sorts but purely out of lustful entitlement. Seeing them as nothing more than prizes for his conquest, and even tries to forcibly kiss one of them against their will.
- There was one time, he brainwashes a woman to be an unwilling consort of his, desiring someone worthy of being his queen once he rules the world.
- He later takes another woman once he took over America, claiming she'll have power second only to use and would host an execution of Daredevil in her honor. But once Daredevil broke free and took the woman away from him, he only shows anger that his archnemesis is escaping rather than the fact he lost a queen. Didn't help that prior, it's established he only cares for their beauty, not who they are, as he was going to reject the woman for initially being ugly.
- It's also established later on he is somewhat of a misogynist, when a Nazi spy accidentally brought enemies to him, he got enraged and screamed how he should've never trusted a woman.
- He launches an invasion that led ships full of civilians to sink, some of them committing suicide to avoid a horrific fate, bombing cities and reducing them to ruins, and gassing innocent people in masses as part of his various attempts at global conquest. Even causing drought and famine by summoning winter onto tropical lands.
- Launches an attack on New York, using both his powers and war machines to decimate Manhatten leaving nothing but ruins. He orders his men to slaughter any survivors while scavenge anything for supplies. Intending to conquer the rest of the United States next.
- He leads another attack on a city using a drill car to cause mass destruction, while crushing civilians beneath him. Another attempt of his to conquer the United States.
- When he was sent to prison to be executed, he uses his powers to break every convict out and raise them as his personal army. He then steals military equipment and has his army kill and raid several army bases, until Daredevil (actually Bart's brother in disguise) tries to stop him. He has him burnt at the stake, and captures the real Daredevil right after he successfully conquered America.
- Enslaved those who had gone against them, while allowing free reign for the criminal underworld after they decided to join him. He has his slaves built a city underground, while ordering the kidnapping of women so he could make them his brides. He then tries to have Daredevil eaten alive by piranhas.
- To get rid of Daredevil, he goes to his master Lucifer to draw power from Hell itself and unleash it upon the world in an apocalyptic fashion. Having hordes of demons and monsters attack and kill civilians, even killing Daredevil's friends out of an act of spite.
- During his fight with Daredevil, he kidnaps his lover and plans to torture her to death just for sadistic kicks.
- Drowns a whole village just to demonstrate his power to Hitler, whom he struck an alliance with him and the Japanese in hopes of conquering the world.
- Kidnapped 2,000 soldiers and brainwashed them to be loyal slaves, one being the brother of one of the protagonists, and have them attack and kill their allies. Even forcing the brothers to fight each other to the death. When this fails, he tries to gas all of them to death.
- Attempts to sink a Navy ship with everyone inside, as aid to the Nazis and their spy named Kloglo as well as the Japanese.
- Has his slaves/minions built him a gargantuan war machine, abusing them along the way, with the machines being filled with weapons from deadly chemicals, bombs and guns which he uses to wipe out several villages and heads to a military base with plans to butcher it.
- Whips his slaves to speed up process in the mass productions of war machines, planning to decimate Great Britain with the help from Hitler. Sending their aircrafts to invade and wreak havoc across Britain, until being foiled by The Ghost. Upon bickering with Hitler, he tries to kill the Fuhrer and uses him as a human shield against his archenemy.
- Attempting to forcibly kiss a woman against her will, while Ghost was forced to watch much to his anger and disgust.
- When the Axis Powers began losing the war, forcing Claw to take matter to his own hands. He captures The Ghost and force him to watch him torture one of his allies to death with various torture methods, from stretching his body, burning his toenails, using hot ashes on his feet to burn the skin off, using darts on him to puncture thousands of holes on him, and finally finishing him off with pouring molten lead onto his throat.
- Attacks a train to steal ammunition and supplies, ordering to leave no survivors in his raid. Then tries to kill every soldier with a flame-thrower during the ensuing battle.
- Attempts to kill his own uncle when he refuses to give him a formula that controls the will of men, further proving that he has no love even towards his own family.
- Makes an alliance with the Cobra Queen to take over the world together, successfully capturing The Ghost and plans to torture him to death later.
- He uses the Jewel of Tibet to brainwash his minions into being absolutely loyal to him. When it got destroyed, he goes to attack an old man who holds another crystal just like his. Only learning he stole a fake when his own minions try to poison him, however he kills them instead after tricking them into eating his food.
- Lead an assault on an American owned island where he sacrificed thousands of his minions, and hold thousands of US citizens as his hostage. He threatened to kill each one of them if his demands aren't met.
- Has one of his scientists to create a formula that mutates his own minions into the monstrous Clawites, mouthless winged gremlins he sends to wreak terror and panic across the US. One of them ends up killing a police officer with a grenade.
- Breaks everyone prisoner loose so he can recruit them for his new plan only for it to be a trap. He brainwashes most of them to blow up every bridge in a city, then kill themselves once they are no longer needed. This only gets foiled once one of the prisoners who wasn't brainwashed informed the authorities of his plans.
- Creates a plague that disfigures a person's face, causing a pandemic across the country all as an attempt to damage the United States' morale.
- Kidnapped a brilliant scientist in hopes of forcing him to build him a electrical gun for another ingenious plan. When he refused, The Claw subjects him to horrible mental torture via trapping him a room of mirrors as he is spin around to see nothing but his reflections. This act was so horrible, the scientist plans to kill himself once he escapes, even when he did escape the effect only made him forget where the Claw's liar is hidden.
- Creates bombs containing bacteria that can suffocate his victims to death, which he plans to firebomb New York with millions to perish. The bomb ends up claiming the life of the heroic Professor Morris who sacrificed his life to stop him.
- He returns in Rocky X, now as an evil alien entity from the planet Zylmarx, he tricked his Nazi allies into building himself a rocket to go back to Zylmarx and rebuild his forces. He kills the Germans, and destroyed their facility once he took off into space.
- He began spending decades building his invasion force, treating his own followers as slaves as they toil away building weapons of mass destruction which he plans to bring to Earth.
- He invades the Earth in hopes of plundering it to enrich the planet Zylmarx, not because he cares for his people but so he can be able to conquer the universe next. He plans to kill all life on Earth in his hostile alien invasion, starting with New York.

- He captures Rocky and his crew, threatening to torture them all if they don't give him vital information on their defenses as well and their weaponry such as the Super-Hydrogen Bomb arsenals which can completely destroy the Earth.
- While he tells them he doesn't like torture himself, it's purely because he doesn't want his men to get carried away and kill his hostages solely for pragmatism.
- Collaborated with the traitorous Arnold into learning the location of these hydrogen bombs, which he intends to destroy the Earth with them. Then he'll use them to conquer the entire universe next. When it was revealed he has been fooled by Rocky, who gave Arnold the false coordinates to the bombs, Claw kills Arnold out of frustration at his failure.
