The Clarks are the main antagonists of the analog horror series called The Children Under the House. They are a pair of human traffickers that are willing to commit vile acts just to make money.

What Makes Them Pure Evil?

In General

• In general, the Clarks are a nasty couple who committed many horrible acts just for money.
• They are responsible for the house getting haunted by their previous victims.
• While they are a married couple, nothing suggests they care for each other.

Background

• For many years, they kidnapped many children before locking them up under the Burger Shack, where they were drugged and abused by pedophiles, for the sake of money.
• They would kill 13 children which includes:
  • Killing Shelly by overdosing her with drugs.
  • Breaking Wendy's neck.
  • Burning Zack alive.
  • Killing Brad and leaving his body to rot, reducing it to a skeleton.
  • Shooting Mark to death.
  • Kate's ghost in particular looks extremely monstrous, with "her having every hand that hurt her" implying they did something especially awful to her, such as beating her to death or having her raped repeatedly.
  • Stuffing Lulu into a truck being transported. She would die in a car crash, cutting her in half. While they did not intend this to happen, they don't care about it either.

The Children Under the House

• They would eventually shoot Adam to death in order to scare the rest of his family.
• The Clarks attempted to kill the rest of the Daniels and Dr. Luu, even planning to burn the former's house down.
• They would delusionally try to justify their actions, saying it is not their fault they needed money for their nasty actions.
• While they claim they don't like to see kids cry, this rings hollow considering all the horrific things they did to said kids, along with the fact they refuse to see themselves as monsters.
• Despite saying sorry to the ghosts at the end, their previous attempts to justify their actions make it clear they're not remorseful and they clearly only apologized to attempt to save themselves (which doesn't work due to how vile they are).
• While they had a brutal death, being violently torn to shred by the ghosts with them leaving nothing, they deserved it for their atrocious wrongdoings and it's not played for sympathy.
