The Avatar, also called the Avatar of Kali, is a potential playable character in the Hearts of Iron IV mod Red Flood. She is a possible Reactionary Esoteric leader for the United Provinces. She is a cult leader claiming to be the avatar of the Hindu goddess Kali, and who preaches that it is her duty to herald the end of the Kali Yuga by destroying the world.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- She and her cult will attempt to usurp control of the United Provinces government when Churchill's regime weakens.
- If she succeeds in overthrowing the government, one of the first things she does is mass purge anyone associated with the British regime. This kills thousands, showing that it's far more than mere decolonization.
- It is shown that her goal is to destroy the entire world. The focus "A Divine Mission" says that the goal of her regime is "to annihilate the world, to bring about a new cycle." Other focuses and events also show that she wants an army devoted to causing as much death and destruction as possible.
- According to the focus "Himsa," she believes that "harm is the only way to accelerate forth" and embraces violence for its own sake.
- She will institute human sacrifice across the whole country. The mass death this causes is represented in-game with a national spirit granting -5.0% monthly population.
- She will encourage cannibals in her army's ranks for their devotion to annihilation and destruction.
- She will force her soldiers to march without taking any time to rest.
- Despite her hatred for Churchill, she will use Churchill's arsenal of poison gas (especially chlorine) to its fullest extent in combat and elsewhere.
- She will conscript as many people into the army as humanly possible regardless of age or ability; if they can wield a knife, they must fight. This means that she will employ child soldiers.
- Since few people are volunteering to join the army, she will use threats and force to conscript them. In the event "The Unwilling Made Useful," it says that "families being threatened is a particularly effective option."
- She will order the mass burning of her country's cities in order to kill any "heretics" and "sinners" that may be hiding there.
- She will permit her soldiers to loot and pillage as much as they please and to eat the flesh of the dead.
- When the time comes, she will declare war on every single warlord-state in India at once and claim all of India as core territory.
- After unifying India, the focus "The End of Kali Yuga" gives her "annex" war goals against numerous Asian countries, prompting the player or AI to conquer large swathes of Asia. After doing so, her country will change its name to "Realm of Avatar."
- Upon founding the Realm of Avatar, the country she rules will gain a national spirit granting -300.0% monthly population, which implies an even greater slaughter. The news event "The Kali Cult Reigns over Asia!" describes the Ream of Avatar having "a tableau of human sacrifice, callous disregard for the lives of men, and even cannibalistic adherents attacking whoever, and whatever, they want."
