Thanos is the main antagonist of the 2010 Marvel Animated Universe. He is one of the main antagonists (alongside Red Skull & Ultron) of Avengers Assemble by being the overarching antagonist of Season 1 and the main antagonist of The Infinity Stones and Avengers World arcs in Season 2 and the main antagonist of the Guardians of the Galaxy TV Series.
He was voiced by Issac C. Singleton Jr.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Destroyed his home planet and killed his entire race.
- Slaughtered Gamora's entire race and adopted and brainwashed her as his personal assassin.
- Was perfectly satisfied with destroying the Earth to prove the Infinity Stone's might.
- Almost destroyed a populated planet to get even more power.
- After finally collecting the entire Infinity Stones, he came close to destroying the entire Earth by changing its climate before being engaged in a duel with the Avengers with them damaging his ego.
- The only thing he respects is power and craved nothing more than the subjugation of the entire universe.
- Thanos, despite being a powerhouse, displays his sadism by toying with his opponent's emotions. He has no problem using the Stones to make someone back down and is as capable of taking down his foes mentally despite typically using brute force.
- In Guardian of The Galaxy, he attempted to use the Carnage Symbiote to infect everyone on Earth, and planted a bomb on Spider-Man.
- His help on defeating Serpent was nothing but pragmatic reasons as he only agreed to team up with the Guardian of the Galaxy for Hela’s sword.
- There has been nothing indicating that Thanos was performing a good deed as Gamora believed. Also, when Thanos confronted Serpent, he stated he despises life.
- His respect for Hela is only because she is goddess of death.
- His death by the satellite laser is well-deserved for what he did to Earth and other planets he terrorized.
Trivia[]
- Thanos's animated incarnation and his video game counterpart are the only versions of the character to be Pure Evil.
- This version of Thanos is far worse than his canon counterpart and he lacks both of his comic book & his MCU/Marvel Cinematic Universe tragic backstories here.
