~ Winters revealing his true colors to the President. |
Nikolai Tartovsky, better known as Theodore "Ted" Winter, is the main antagonist in the 2010 film Salt.
Working as a CIA operative under the name of Ted Winter, he is secretly a KGB sleeper agent with the goal to destroy the United States of America. Despite not being the leader of KGB, he was the one who formulated the plan to abduct Salt's husband and reveal her KGB identity to the rest of CIA, forcing the leader Orlov to carry it out, setting the plot of Salt into motion.
He was portrayed by Liev Schreiber.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Forcing Orlov, the KGB leader to coordinate a plan to kidnap Salt's husband and reveal her KBG identity to CIA to motivate her to kill the Russian president.
- Killing everyone around the President whilst "hiding" from Salt.
- Forcing the President to give access to his suite, giving him access to nuclear missles.
- Attempting to launch Nuclear missles on Mecca and Tehran with the aim to initiate a World War between Muslims and the United States.
- Attempting to kill Salt both before and after foiling his plan.
- Although all the other KGB agents (except for Salt) show affability to one other, he shows no such geniune affability. He even mockingly thanks Salt for killing Orlov, gloating that he would have done so if she didn't.
- This also demonstrates that he had no true loyalty towards Orlov, the leader of KGB
