NOTE: This article is about Taurus Bulba from DuckTales 2017. For the original incarnation from Darkwing Duck, see: Taurus Bulba (Darkwing Duck).

Gosalyn, no! Who CARES about this reality? We can make a better one, one with your grandpa in it!
~ Taurus Bulba showing that he is willing to destroy the multiverse to make a new one.

Taurus Bulba is a minor antagonist in the 2017 DuckTales reboot series, serving as the main antagonist of the TV special "Let's Get Dangerous!".

He is a scientist who secretly plans on destroying all of reality, and the archenemy of Darkwing Duck and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer. He is based on his original counterpart.

He was voiced by James Monroe Iglehart.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • He was willing to destroy the entire multiverse and everyone in it to create a new one in his own image, making him the most heinous villain in the show as no one ever went on this scale before.
  • He betrayed his friend, Professor Waddlemeyer, by throwing him in another universe when he attempted to convince him the Ramrod wasn't safe, planning to do the same to Darkwing Duck and Gosalyn when they attempted to stop his plans.
  • He allowed Gosalyn to fall to her supposed death, though she escaped unscathed.
  • He summoned four dangerous supervillains to terrorize St. Canard.
  • He threw Scrooge into a dimension where he had to repeatedly live and act out a scene from the original series.
  • He imprisoned Huey, Dewey and Louie.
  • He betrayed Bradford Buzzard and F.O.W.L.
  • Despite seemingly being an affable boss to the Fearsome Four, he furiously ordered his minions to kill Darkwing Duck on live surveillance, and when they failed to kill Darkwing Duck, Bulba grew intolerant and dropped his friendly façade, deciding to kill Darkwing Duck himself.
  • He tried to manipulate Gosalyn into letting the portal stay on to destroy reality by claiming that they can build a new reality together with Waddlemeyer in it, leading to his downfall as Gosalyn might have not known if Taurus would reboot her grandfather as well, right before he got arrested and was sentenced to prison for the rest of his life for his monstrous actions.
  • While being zapped by the electrified Ramrod key had caused him to become somewhat mentally insane in thinking that he could use the Ramrod to remake the universe, even though he would've possibly been destroyed as well, his intentions of committing mass omnicide are still there as his big ego caused him to attempt innumerable lives with no remorse, and he still has a moral agency regardless as it didn't cause him to be unaware of right and wrong.
    • Additionally, this was more of a villainous breakdown than being mentally insane.
  • Although he had some comedic moments, they were mostly part of his facade and he subverted them after revealing his true nature.

Trivia[]

  • While Taurus Bulba is currently Pure Evil in the DuckTales reboot, there's a possibility that this may change once the planned reboot of Darkwing Duck is released, as such reboot is planned to be set in the same continuity of the DuckTales reboot. However, Disney has yet to release the reboot due to lack of announcements, and it's very likely that Taurus Bulba's Pure Evil status will remain unchanged until further notice.
