| “ | Talia: How is it I ever loved either of you? Bruce: I don't think you ever did. Talia: Oh, beloved, you have no idea. I have thought of little else for the last twelve years. But nothing, not my passion, not the death of my father, not even our child could bring you to my side. I know now I will never have you in this life… BUT PERHAPS IN DEATH! |

Talia al Ghul is a major antagonist in the DC Animated Movie Universe. She is the leader of the League of Assassins, the genetic mother of Hafid al Ghul and the mother of Damian Wayne.
She was voiced by Morena Baccarin.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- Although she used to have redeeming qualities in Son of Batman, including loving Batman and their son Damian, and fought against Deathstroke to save them both, Talia ditches them all in Bad Blood, becoming a heartless woman who will do anything to take over the world.
- She drugged Batman to have sex with him and conceive Damian, which constitutes rape.
- She later jokes that it made him "romantic" and was completely indifferent to how disturbing her previous actions were towards Batman.
- She was the one who ordered Hafid al Ghul to kidnap Bruce and hired the Mad Hatter to torture him psychologically.
- When Hafid realizes he is Damian's genetically engineered clone and refuses to torture him, Talia threatens to torture Hafid for disobeying. When Hafid has an emotional breakdown as a result, Talia feigns sympathy before she coldly responds by shooting him in the head.
- Ordered Mad Hatter to hack Wayne technology to activate a mind-control program that brainwashes dozens of international politicians and businessmen, including Bruce himself, to the League of Assassins' whims. This technology is used to make Bruce try to kill Robin and Nightwing, his own sons, as well as make Batwoman's father try to kill his own daughter.
- While the Lazarus Pit may have warped her moral agency, shortly after her revival, she was shown still somewhat caring about Damian. This proves her descent into pure evilness was more of her own choice.
- Even in Son of Batman, when her father Ra's is killed by Deathstroke's raid on the League of Assassins, unlike Damian, who is deeply saddened by his grandfather's death, she does not mourn for him whatsoever and rather is indifferent to her own father's death.
- Although she claims that her actions were an act of love for Bruce and Damian, Damian speculates that it was all about control for her and that any love she may have had was already gone.
- She calls Damian a bastard and tries to kill him, not caring that he is only a child and her son.
- Unlike most other versions (including the original one) of Talia al Ghul who are mostly morally ambiguous, have anti-heroic qualities, and oftentimes possess redeeming/positive traits, this version of Talia al Ghul has absolutely none of it, and is a outright vile, ruthless and heartless supervillainess who is capable of doing anything to reach her goals, even if it means hurting her own family.
