You know Zizzy... I was once living in your world. I was young and quiet... I felt alone often, so I made myself a friend. One from beyond. We were great friends. Perhaps... too great. I started to become just like him in more ways than you could imagine. He wasn't too happy about that. He made that clear... very clear to the world. When my time ended there, my time here began. Look at me now! I'm more than I ever once was. Isn't it surprising to see what can come of a quiet young child?
~ TIO explaining his backstory to Zizzy.
I have but one thing to leave you with; stay out of my business. If you continue to follow your current path, you will live to regret it.
~ TIO threatening the player.

TIO is the overarching antagonist of the Piggy franchise. He is a very mysterious entity and the founder and leader of the Insolence, who appears to people in their minds and makes deals with them, and has done such with the Player, Pony, and Zizzy. And offers him to join him to gain their trust and "help" them.

He used to be a lonely person who made "a friend from beyond" named Mr. Stitchy, but unfortunately, his "friend" betrayed him when he became more like him, and then used his newfound powers to start the Infection, and began to go in people's minds into making deals with said people so they can see their loved ones again, and tried to go in Pony and Zizzy's minds to join him, but the two declined.

And when the Player declines knowing his tricks when entering in the Player's mind, So TIO decides to murder the Player for the second time they interact, as well as Georgie Piggy, Pony, and Zee, but it is defeated because of the players memories of Doggy, Bunny, and Zizzy, and serves as the Player's archenemy.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Was heavily implied by a journal entry that TIO entered Mr. P's mind and coerced him into testing Substance 128 on his wife and the Piggy family, resulting in the whole franchise's plot. Unknown to Mr. P yet, this substance was dangerous, and could turn people into hostile entities. TIO knew this, and coerced Mr. P to test the substance precisely because he wanted to spread the virus and turn the population into hostile, mindless monsters.
    • Even if the entry doesn't name him specifically as the culprit, his actions of preventing others from reaching the cure, coercing others to join him, and his motivations being tied to the virus point towards TIO being the mastermind behind the outbreak.
  • Founded the Insolence, a cult located within the Lucella sewers, and presumably used them for demon summoning and such. It’s also implied in a note by Markus in Docks that TIO brainwashes the members of his cult, stripping them of their free will entirely.
  • Took over Tigry's mind during his mission in the Military, making him see a monster instead of his comrade and friend Danny, as well as forcing him to go through portals leading to places of his childhood where he had been bullied and abused in order to emotionally torment him just to get the code to the armory. At the end, Tigry slays the "monster", but upon doing it he realizes he killed Danny. The impact on Tigry was so strong, he deserted the Military, causing him to be remembered as a deserter by Sgt. Monroe.
    • Not only does this make TIO the indirect responsible for Danny's death, but it leaves a heavy impact on Tigry's mental health, given by how much he's traumatized.
    • Also, it's currently unknown whether TIO intended Danny's death to happen, but even if he didn't, he likely doesn't care.
  • Constantly haunted Fergus in his dreams by giving him nightmares while attempting to make a deal with him.
  • Captured Marley Russell and experimented on him while he was still conscious and aware, turning him into one of his pawns and stripping him from his free will.
  • Trapped Glenn inside a cave during one of his explorations, getting him surrounded by Insolence creatures, and made a deal with him, offering him safety in exchange of him joining the Insolence. After Glenn accepted, TIO instantly betrayed him and got him attacked by one of his creatures, resulting in his arm getting turned into crystals and a hand growing on his chest, as well as Glenn turning into yet another brainwashed member of his army.
  • Made Mr. P go mentally insane by sending him hallucinations, thoughts of false hope, and deceptive imagery. This would cause the latter to betray his allies by giving them potions, with TIO even knowing there would be a chance it would turn them infected despite having false hope it was a solution. TIO operated effectively on one's guilt and vulnerability, in which he was able to use Mr. P's guilt and anguish to further the damage he's already caused on the global population. Mr. P's insanity was so severe, he couldn't even tell if the protagonist was real or not.
  • Attempted to make the protagonist go insane by sending them hallucinations throughout their journey.
  • Attempted to make a deal with Pony by entering his mind using his guilt for infecting Doggy with the virus under Willow's orders. His trade was to make Pony see his parents again. He did this frequently with Pony, causing him pain and misery.
  • Psychologically tormented Georgie (a child) in his dreams by making him relive the night his family got infected. This kept on going for a long time, causing him grief and sadness.
  • Entered the protagonist's mind, sending them hallucinations of Bunny, Doggy, and Zizzy who were infected at the time. He attempted to trade with them afterwards after the illusion failed, with a deal to make them see their infected friends again. When it failed, he threatened them not to go further with their search for the cure or they'd "regret it". If the protagonist achieves the Tigry Survivor ending however, they accept the deal only for the end result to be cut off, signaling things might go wrong.
  • Sent Zizzy into a distorted version of the refinery. After doing so, he sent out infected hallucinations of her sisters who chased her through the refinery. After Zizzy escapes, he attempted to make her join The Insolence by trading an offer to see her friends again despite her predicament. He uses a hallucination Pony to guilt trip her as it was her fault, she ended up getting infected. After "Pony" forgave her and wanted her to come back, Zizzy nearly joined TIO only for a mysterious force to pull her back from danger.
  • Sent out The Insolence and a group of infected in order to stop the military and the crew from their plans for the cure.
  • Attempted to murder the protagonist himself after they grew close to curing Zizzy. While doing so, he sends them in their memories alongside Pony, Georgie and Zee. To make matters worse, while he charges at the protagonist he sends each of the three hallucinations, respectively, of Peter (Pony's father), Penny (Georgie's older sister) and Zizzy (Zee's older sister).
  • Even though he was banished into another realm by his friend, it doesn't bother him in the slightest nor does he show any signs of moral agency issues due to sanity. In fact, it's not even tragic because it's implied that by becoming something the friend didn't like, TIO became a danger to others.
  • He may have cared for his friend in the past, but he clearly cares more about what he is now.
  • Unlike the other antagonists of the franchise, who either are brainwashed (or infected by a textbook zombie virus in the monsters' case), have sympathetic backgrounds, feel genuine remorse and have others they genuinely care about, TIO lacks of any of these qualities, standing out as the making him the most evil, darkest and dangerous villain in Piggy.
  • Although TIO states that he's doing this to "save" people from their free will, TIO's intentions can't be in good faith for two separate reasons:
    • TIO is known to lie and give people deals in order to manipulate them to get what he wants. TIO could've been appealing to the player to get them on his side. The previous examples show how manipulative and relentless he is to ensure others won't be a threat to him or help him aid his plans with the outbreak.
    • If TIO truly wanted to save people from their free will then his methods for doing so does more harm than good. The virus doesn't just turn people into mindless beings, but beings that are hostile and murderous in nature. If TIO had good intentions, he would've manipulated Mr. P into changing the way the virus work or aimed for a cure. Yet TIO allows the outbreak to continue, proving that he believes others should be sacrificed for his ideology to continue. Him allegedly admitting to his ideology (whether he's lying or not) also proves that TIO was the mastermind behind the outbreak because the only way for it to be benefitted was for the outbreak to happen.
