The Supreme Deity is one of the two main antagonist (alongside the Demon King) of The Seven Deadly Sins, being the main antagonist of The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light.
As one of the first two creations of Chaos, she is the creator/ruler of the Goddess Realm who's responsible for leading the Goddess Clan and creation of the Four Archangels. She is also the mother of Elizabeth and by default her reincarnations. She is also the ancestor of the Celestial Clan.
In the anime, she is voiced by Kana Kurashina and Rebekah Thomas in the American English dub.
What makes her Pure Evil?[]
- Although she is a creation of Chaos, she clearly possesses a moral compass and moral agency.
- She and the Demon King worked together to seal their creator Chaos away out of envy towards the latter's newest creation, mankind.
- She viewed the Holy War conflict as a chess game and cared did not care at all about the deaths that she has caused, even from her own clan.
- When her daughter Elizabeth wanted to seek peace between the Goddess and Demon Clan, she and the Demon King put a curse on Elizabeth, forcing her to live and die continuously as Meliodas was cursed for eternal life, losing his emotions every time he dies, which slowly ate at his psyche due to repeatedly witnessing his lover die, and according to Meliodas this has happened 106 times and it nearly happened again. While she did offer to remove the curse from Elizabeth, this was purely pragmatic, as she would only do it if she rejoined her clan.
- She joined forces with the Demon King (her son-in-law's father) to unleash a fog of fire and lightning that destroyed Belialuin after Merlin tricked her into giving her a blessing without having her actually join her clan, leaving Merlin herself as the sole survivor.
- While she did allow Meliodas to break his own curse, that doesn't excuse her from placing the curse on him so he could watch Elizabeth, her own daughter die 106 times during his life.
- Finishing off in order to regain her powers, she brainwashed Dahlia and Dubs (who wanted no part in the Holy War) to massacre the Demon realm.
- She sent a swarm of brainwashed fairies and giants to attack Diane and King's wedding. They were planning to kill many innocents, which would have occurred if the heroes hadn't arrived.
- She sent her own brainwashed own clan to attack Mael, who was completely unwilling to fight them due to his newfound pacifistic nature.
- She, along with the brainwashed Goddess clan, attacked Liones in an attempt to destroy everyone who opposed her one final time and faced off against the Sins.
- During this fight, she unleashed a giant bolt of lightning on the city, not caring about her clan or the innocent lives taken.
- Even if Zeldris (her daughter's brother-in-law and also her son-in-law's younger brother) and Meliodas had slew her, Zeldris's sister-in-law Elizabeth showed no sympathy for her. Showing just what a horrible mother she was to her.
