Now, now, Mister Rankin... It's all in the name of science, you understand. My only regret is you have but one life to give for my research. Your unpleasantly quick death does justify all my hard work though, Calvin. In the weeks since my return, I've had all the time and privacy I needed to experiment and genetically-engineer a strain of the Penitence Plague, which can destroy all of humanity
~ Sugar Man while torturously experimenting on Mimic

Sugar Man is a minor antagonist in the X-Men comic series, he's a sadistic minion of Apocalypse, slaver, and the head of the Core. Being a resident of the Age of Apocalypse timeline until he ended up in the main Marvel universe to terrorize its inhabitants.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Is a sadistic mutant who uses Apocalypse's social darwinism philosophy as an excuse to kill, torture, enslave and rape those weaker than him.
  • Runs a human slave camp called the Core where he regularly abuses, tortures and torments the prisoners.
  • Is also a deprave sexual deviant who also preys on younger women to rape.
  • Is responsible for giving Genosha mutate genes that allowed hundreds of mutants to be enslaved and turning the nation into a slave state. Planning to transport the slaves into the Apocalypse universe.
  • Because of his actions in Genosha, mutants are stripped of their basic rights and considered property of the state, and children identified with mutant genes are also stripped of their free will.
  • Murders a mutant slave via a device on his collar.
  • Created a genetic-weapon, a deadly virus, which he plan to use to wipe out all of humanity with. Before he could use it, he uses Mimic as a guinea pig for his deadly plague while showing sadistic relish.
  • He resurrected a dozen fallen heroes to form an army for Weapon Omega via the Life Seed. Brainwashing them and put under Weapon Omega's services.
  • Traps Nate Gray in a machine to use him as a living battery for his portal opening machines so he could return to the Apocalypse universe. Torturing Nate through his machine.
  • Bioengineered 600 mutants with the goal of taking over his home dimension so he'll be it's sole ruler.

Trivia[]

  • He alongside Dark Beast are the only villains from the Age of Apocalypse universe to be Pure Evil.
