“ | Good evening Miss Alden. May I call you Laura? Laura, if you scream, I'll kill you. I'll just... break your neck, okay? | „ |
~ Swinton threatening Laura Alden |
Stewart Swinton is the main antagonist of the 1994 horror film Wolf. He is the backstabbing former friend and protégé of Will Randall who tries to kill him after becoming a werewolf.
He is portrayed by James Spader.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Pretends to be Will Randall's friend only so he can steal his job, which he succeeds in doing.
- He has an affair with Randall's wife, Charlotte and also fakes remorse for having done so.
- While he does offer to resign, he takes it back when Randall calls him on it.
- He kills Charlotte after becoming a werewolf and frames Randall for her murder-leaving even Randall to believe that he killed his own wife since he has no memory of his actions as the wolf.
- When he follows Laura Alden to her home, he kills two of her guards by running one over with his car and ripping the other's throat out.
- He threatens to kill Laura if she screams for help, and later tries to to rape her to death infront of Will while he's locked up.
- When Will engages in a fight with him, Stewart tries to kill him even after the latter spares him upon gaining the upper hand-unfairly attempting to stab Will to death with garden pliers behind his back. Thankfully he is shot dead by Laura before he can do so.
- Him becoming a werewolf does not influence his behavior in any way, as he was already a manipulator and liar before becoming one, and according to Dr. Alezais, the wolf one becomes is only as evil as the heart of the man himself-thus proving that the bite only brought out the monster that was always there.
