Steve is the main antagonist of the 2020 ongoing Minecraft YouTube series A Villager's Night, animated and created by Avocado Animations.
He is a psychopathic variation of Steve who decided to massacre villagers and enslave them as his enforced workers to craft his goods, all for no good reason. Despite his mute nature, he is calculative on his belligerent practicality based on his fearful villagers by his intimidation.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He performed a massacre on Herh's village for no reason, to which he:
- Burned many of the village's homes into ashes.
- Fatally shot a crawling injured villager four times with his bow and arrows before killing them in the eye.
- Used a diamond sword to murder the village's guardian Iron Golem, who is Herh's best friend, and leaving the village defenseless. His approach to Herh himself, having stepped on the Golem's flower upon his death and leaving, made it a mockery towards a grieving Herh.
- Killed many of the defenseless villagers (and a cow), as shown with bloodied and bruised corpses at the location along with a crying baby villager amidst all the ongoing chaos. This grew to the point of the surviving villagers burning said corpses to prevent the attraction of zombies at night.
- It is also important to note that when the crying baby villager is shown, Steve looks in its direction which might imply that Steve could have decided to mercilessly kill it as well.
- Using a dead villager's corpse as coercion, he enslaved the survivors of the massacre, having them chained in shackles to his trading farm dungeon, where he enforced his subordinate slaves into a horrible work environment. The horribly growing conditions got to the point where Beehr and Larr's mother starved to death in front of her sons, and had villagers into total incapacitation to continue their labor.
- Despite rewarding his slave an emerald after the latter crafted him iron boots, this was only pragmatic as he ensures the villager to work for him further for his own benefits and demands, which showcases his cheating towards success.
- He drowned two villager slaves in lava after they don't meet his demands or even tried testing him. Respectively, one of them was a villager whose hands were brutally injured from consistent labor and then rejecting his plea for a three-to-two day extension by killing him on the spot. Another of those was Beehr, Larr's brother, who Steve spitefully executed in front of Larr after the latter decided to show his rebellion towards Steve with a bloodied right hand all while Steve gives a smirk to Larr after doing so, showing that he was taking pleasure in doing so.
- It was shown that he did this countless times or a while, depicted from the emotionless reactions of all the enslaved villagers around him which was seen as a desensitized and daily occurrence.
- He does not have a comeuppance for his atrocities; but, even if he did, it's out of catharsis for everything he did towards others.
- Despite being from a known parody YouTube channel, he is played for complete drama and is taken completely serious upon his atrocities by the in-universe characters and the narrative.
- While he doesn't speak nor show any facial expressions throughout the entire series, his sadistic and calculative personality prevents him from being insufficiently characterized due to his smirk towards Larr, and that he doesn't express any sadness or regret of his killings whatsoever otherwise showing sadistic glee once he intimidated the villagers, and is shown to be aware of everything he ever did.
Trivia[]
- Him and Willy Wonka are the only Avocado Animations villain to be Pure Evil.
- There is an ongoing theory that the Pillager seen at the end of the third episode is a fallen villager who seeks vengeance on Steve after his kind being slaughtered by him. If this becomes confirmed, it would make Steve even worse.
