“ | This world rewards the normals. The ones who punch their time cards and go to bed by ten and never question the system. It's the real hell. A beige-colored hell full of fertilized lawns and mortgage payments and social media algorithms. I'm here for the freaks who actually have the power to bring that whole stupid, punishing world crashing down. I get to them before they're indoctrinated and diplomaed and numbed by pharmaceuticals. You used to understand that desire. | „ |
~ Skaar stating his overview on modern society and justifying his actions to Talia Warroad before trying to kill her. |
Stefan Skaar is the main antagonist of the final issues in the 2022 comic book series, Ghost Rider. He is the leader of the Cult of Mephisto and the ex-boyfriend of Talia Warroad, as well as the one responsible for the death of her parents. Skaar is known for corrupting and brainwashing children on his behalf, killing their parents and other adults country-wide to expand the cult's membership.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is the manipulative servant of Mephisto whose in charge of expanding his cult, which a majority of recruits are troubled juvenile delinquents and innocent children, horribly influencing them whilst granting them power that turns them into monstrous, demonic vampires or werewolves.
- The children are shown to be aware of their surroundings while being influenced under Skaar's control and brainwash, which Talia confirms otherwise due to being a former victim herself and gets a brainwashed boy who attacked her and Johnny Blaze to come back to his senses, full of sorrow and regret.
- During his younger years, he and his gang started off causing regular trouble such as loitering and robbery. First witnessed robbing an ATM machine by using a dark spell.
- He manipulated Talia Warroad into joining them by teaching her all kinds of dark magic and convinced her into hating her parents to the point she wished them dead.
- While riding through an open freeway, he caused a series of car accidents where in one scenario, he led a driver to fall out the bridge and caused his death.
- Behind Talia's back, he placed a curse on Talia's parents, which led to them being hunted by demonic copies of themselves and other demons to the point they died in a car crash.
- He recently runs a boarding school disguised as an indoctrinating camp where he grooms and brainwashes children he either took under his wing or abduct them into becoming Mephisto's loyal cultists, educating them about pain, demonic arcana, and literally teaching them blood sport.
- He brainwashed the children of Burrow, West Virginia into massacring the adult population, including their own parents, while having their bodies thrown into a pit as a sacrifice for Mephisto. Even after being freed, there were a majority of them that will forever be emotionally scarred by their unwillingly horrific actions while few were beyond saving as the brainwashed leader of said children thrown himself into the pit for Mephisto's sake.
- Endorsed his cultists to attack adults all around the country and widespread his influence, resulting in several incidents where few children were trying to have a rollercoaster ram several adults tied to the tracks at an amusement park, werewolf children lurking around a summer camp sight, and vampire children massacring a mall full of people. Skaar even has an entire room full of countless skeletons, implying they're from previous massacres he commenced.
- It's implied he sacrificed dozens of innocent people and hanged their bodies outside, tied to trees as sacrifices to create the demonic Warding Tree guardians to get rid of trespassers.
- He attempted to kill Talia by having her Moon Child use poisonous dust on her before he is slowly condemned alongside her afterward.
- While seemingly getting along well with his gang, it's conditional as he doesn't express concern over them being sent to juvenile detention by Doctor Strange and the following years later, replaced them with other grunts in his stead.
- Originally in a relationship with Talia Warroad, it's made clear he is more possessive over her than genuine love and while he thought of what could've been him and her starting a family together, he ultimately dismisses the idea when seeing her Moon Child. Implying that the thought was more of wanting a legacy than anything sentimental to him.
- Despite being a follower of Mephisto's, nothing indicates that he is genuinely loyal to him. If anything, given his statement of having power at his aid to Talia suggests he only joined Mephisto's cult for the sake of receiving power than serving him.
- Despite Ghost Rider having an absurd amount of demons running amok massacring and torturing innocents in worst ways imaginable, Skaar stands out for grooming children into becoming homicidal cultists and enforced them to kill their own parents against their wills, especially having personal villainy for what he did to Talia.
