~ Starscream to Vector Prime. |
Starscream is one of the two main antagonists of the 2005 anime series, Transformers: Galaxy Force, which later became Transformers: Cybertron in the English dub that ends the Unicron Trilogy. He is the second-in-command of the Destrons and seeks to undermine his superior, Master Megatron, in order to rule all of reality no matter what cost is present.
While in the English dub, Starscream gains redeeming qualities and agency issues from the other 2 installments and falling short in comparison to Megatron and Unicron, his Galaxy Force version gains more nastier actions while lacking the redeeming past due to the anime not counting Legends of the Microns and Super Link as canon.
In the Japanese dub, he was voiced by Takaya Kuroda. In the Korean dub, he was voiced by Jeong Myeong-jun.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Unlike in the English dub who bluntly states has no interest in humanity and mocks humanity for thinking they are worth his time to threaten, in the Japanese version and the Korean dub, Starscream unleashes the Destron army imprisoned in the Arctic to bring forth an apocalypse onto Earth, which he claimed was a divine revelation, only halting the plans to wipe out all life on Earth to get his hands on the Chip Square.
- In order to get the Chip Square, Starscream nearly launches a devastating assault on an entire city filled with civilians, an assault the Cybertrons narrowly averted.
- When nearly defeated, Starscream plays on Galaxy Convoy's morals by firing a missile to kill the Cybertrons' human allies, majority of them being kids, as a distraction to get his hands on the Chip Square and the Earth's Planet Force.
- Knows about the heroes' plans to use the Chip Square to prevent the Grand Black Hole from destroying reality, and goes out of his way to subvert them for power boosts, even absorbing all the power Primus was using to close the blackhole itself and dooming the entire galaxy as a result solely to ensure his ascension to godhood.
- Upon absorbing enough power to become Super Starscream, Starscream blasts Master Megatron, fully knowing the clash of their powers will result in the Earth's destruction.
- Threatens to tear his minion Chromia into pieces if she doesn't go on a suicide mission to fight the Cybertrons and Master Megatron.
- Sends his minion Noisemaze to fight his enemies and nearly die just to buy himself time.
- Upon seeing Master Megatron (now Master Galvatron), giving up after the closure of the Grand Black Hole, Starscream goads him into finishing the plan to destroy and remake reality to their image, smirking with a "That's the Master Galvatron I know" when Master Galvatron proclaims that his bare fists are enough to destroy the universe.
- While he was defeated in combat by Master Galvatron he was not killed and still roaming somewhere meaning he is an Karma Houdini.
Trivia[]
- Only the Galaxy Force version of Starscream can be considered Pure Evil, while his Unicron Trilogy version can't because of heinousness issues when compared to either Megatron and Unicron, which this version doesn't have due to Legends of the Microns and Super Link not being canon to its continuity.
- This is, alongside the Animated incarnation, one of the few versions of Starscream to be as vile as their former masters.
