Stop running away.
~ One of the lines Specimen 11 says in reverse.
With every bite with bone and skin. The temple groaned and shook again. His dwelling place did I neglect. To the end with bad effect.
~ Specimen 11's death screen.

Specimen 11, also known as the Food Demon, is a major antagonist from the 2014 indie horror game Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion.

It is a demon that was possibly summoned by a dying fast-food restaurant company, causing its customers to grow unhealthily obsessed with its products before they suffered from horrible hallucinations. After GL Labs found it, it became one of the most deadly Specimen seen.

It is voiced by an uncredited Akuma Kira, who voices Spooky and other Specimen in the game.

What Makes It Pure Evil?[]

  • Before being captured by GL Labs, it made a deal with a restaurant company. This deal was to implicitly brainwash customers, which led to them getting unhealthily obsessed with the food there, to the point that they would order the same meal over and over. Sometimes the customers would also get hallucinations from the burgers.
    • At one point, it even made a manager get so enraged with an employee for bringing outside food that he slammed the employee's face on the grill.
  • It killed an employee who worked at the fast-food joint, possibly for finding out too much about the anomalies happening around it.
  • It implicitly killed the owners of the restaurant.
  • It had the second-highest kill count of the Specimen at 317 victims.
    • It collected the victims by taking them to its pocket dimension, killing them, stealing their souls, and leaving their withered remnants behind in its testing chamber. Given that the souls of its victims disappear later on, it's possible that Specimen 11 did something much worse than just killing them.
      • Should the protagonist get caught by Specimen 11, it will do the exact same thing to them.
  • It tried to kill the protagonist one more time in the Dollhouse DLC if it's selected as the sacrifice to closing the hellgate that's summoning the creatures.
  • Although it may seem like it suffered from off-screen villainy, the notes found at its level and its CAT-DOS entry go into detail about its actions, and its game over cutscene showed exactly how it killed its victims, showing enough on-screen evidence of its crimes. In addition, there is a clear pattern as to how it kills people.
  • It's shown to be enough of a sadistic entity, cruelly waiting for the protagonist to approach it with wide open arms so it can kill them, as well as taunting them in reverse while chasing them down.
  • While it accepted the deal with the company, it likely wanted to continue its evil actions while using the restaurant as an excuse to do so, as well as the possibility above that it might have killed the restaurant's owners.

Trivia[]

  • It, alongside Monster 5, are the only two Pure Evil to come from Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion.
