Sonny Wo is a supporting antagonist in the 2012 video game Sleeping Dogs. He is a corrupt and perverted executive who works as a manager for several Hong Kong pop starlets, while pimping them out and watching them have sex with older men.
He was voiced by Chin Han.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He's a serial proxy-rapist, using attractive women's desire for fame and stardom to groom them into sexual playthings for his triad associates. Any of the women deemed insufficiently pliant are simply kicked aside (sometimes literally), while the rest who piss off or flake out on Sonny are then forced into Big Smile Lee's porn and prostitution rings as punishment, hence the human trafficking allegations in-universe. He even sneakily records videos of the women having intercourse with gangsters for blackmail.
- By far Sonny's biggest victim in this regard was Vivienne Lu, who according to police reports had to sleep with half the Sun On Yee before she finally met her boyfriend, Ricky Wong. Case in point: Wei Shen, a murderous gangster and serial adulterer, was the first man to actually refuse Vivienne's offer for sex on Sonny's forced behalf because Wei knows full-well that she's Sonny's sex slave in addition to being Ricky's girlfriend. Even Ricky himself didn't say no, although he clearly still loves Vivienne very much and is otherwise one of the most genuinely affable characters in the entire story.
- According to Sandra, when she was only 16, Sonny offered her stardom if she agreed to have intercourse with an old man while Sonny watched. Thankfully Sandra was smart enough to refuse said offer, but still this shows that not even teenage minors are safe from Sonny's sexual depravity and pervertedness.
- He has no redeeming qualities, and pretty much everyone in-universe hates him for being a misogynistic douchebag with all the charisma of week-old cat vomit. Plus, while he was arrested before being released, he lost his job and was supposedly killed by Sun On yee for knowing too much.
