~ Siren Head mocking Freddy about the murders of his friends. |
Siren Head, written in-game as Sirenhead, is the titular main antagonist of the 2022 indie horror game Sirenhead Southpoint by Isolation Interactive, based on the creature from the Trevor Henderson Mythos.
It is a massive creature that continually stalks the main character Freddy Anderson as he traverses South Point Meadows looking for his friends, who are implied to have been victims of the creature.
Siren Head is far more morally aware here than in the mythos, as it continually taunts and mocks Freddy, trying to get him to quit on his journey.
While mimicking a radio reporter, it was voiced by Golden Heart. While mimicking Officer Kirkland, it was voiced by Victor Shade. While mimicking Sarah, it was voiced by Snow Harbour.
What Makes It Pure Evil?[]
- In the late eighteenth century, it terrorized the town of Southpoint Meadow by eating the townsfolk.
- Its actions would indirectly started a cult known at the Order that would sacrifice townsfolks to satiate it's hunger. This reached the point where a man killed himself just to avoid being selected. Another lord note reveals a dad tried to escape with his family but somehow found himself unable to leave. While it's unclear if it was aware of the cult's doings, it is responsible for them forming in the first place, nonetheless.
- After centuries of consumption, it forcibly turned its last worshipper into a Wendigo, in order to kill anybody who dares to enter Southpoint Meadow. There are shown to be dozens of skeletons scattered throughout the altar.
- It slaughters all four of Freddy Anderson's friends one-by-one (such as tearing John Parker's body apart with the force of his car) when they are on a camping trip, leaving their corpses out for him to later see just to mock him.
- It makes multiple attempts to hunt down and eat Freddy, only being stopped by John's shotgun.
- It makes a fake broadcast about the death of Freddy's friends just to taunt him, then proceeded to gaslight Freddy into believing he knowingly sent them there to kill them because "they held him back", and that they "will come for him."
- It drags John's corpse all the way to the tower just to torment Freddy.
- It torments Freddy about his inability to give up on believing it's possible to save his friends, claiming he should instead lay down on his back and wait, so it can kill him (which it does if Freddy listens.)
- It mimics Sarah's death screams to scare Freddy.
- It tricks Freddy into trying to escape by using the bridge, only for it to be broken, then lures him away with police siren noises to trick him into thinking he is safe, only to lunge when he gets close.
- Unlike its original version, it has a clear moral agency and is aware of what it is doing given how it sadistically manipulates and taunts Freddy throughout the game.
