Roxxon. We're here for you.
~ Simon Krieger's tagline for Roxxon.
No one is going to care about some sick people uptown or a dead engineer. You're just the cost of doing business.
~ Simon Krieger showing his true colors before causing Rick Mason's death.

Simon Krieger is the overarching antagonist of the 2020 action-adventure superhero video game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the second installment in Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man series.

He is the head of research and development at Roxxon, an energy corporation with presence throughout New York City. Though Krieger at first appears as an affable and energetic individual, he reveals himself to a greedy and callous businessman who's seeking profit at the cost of the community in Harlem. He is the Insomniac Games' counterpart of Simon Krieger from Earth-616 universe, the enemy of Iron Man.

He was voiced and portrayed by Troy Baker, who also voiced Shinnok in Mortal Kombat, Gul'dan in World of Warcraft, Kul Teska in Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, Van Kleiss in Generator Rex and the Joker in the Arkhamverse and the Tomorrowverse.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Caused Rick Mason's death through the laboratory's shutting down system right in front of Phin when he notices them trying to destroy Nuform, thus leading to the creation of The Tinkerer.
  • Tearing down a bunch of stores to create Roxxon Plaza, not caring about their relevance.
  • Does not care if people get hurt, killed or sick by Nuform or Roxxon all just for profit.
  • Blames Miles Morales for the destruction of the bridge, where he orders that Roxxon security kill or apprehend him.
  • Breaks his deal with The Prowler (Aaron Davis) who originally was supposed to leave Miles alone but holds him prisoner as leverage against Tinkerer.
  • Allows his guards to harass small businesses while getting off Scot free.
  • Lies about giving Rhino to the police and upgrades him instead.
  • Plans to (most likely) dissect Miles to harness his bio-electricity powers, all for the sake of money.
  • After finding out that Miles and Phin escaped from the interrogation room, he sent Rhino to find and attack them.
  • Uses death threats on his employees when not doing their jobs.
  • He sabotages the reactor so that it was destroy all of Harlem while Krieger hides in his bunker to make him and Roxxon appear the victims of a terrorist attack, so he could rebuild Harlem in his own image. Fortunately the reactor is stopped, but, at the cost of Tinkerer’s life.
  • Unlike Doctor Octopus (who was corrupted by his mechanical arms and Norman Osborn screwed him over), Mister Negative (who was experimented on and accidentally killed his parents because of this), Vulture (who gained spinal cancer from overusing his wing suit), Harry Osborn (who genuinely wanted to help others and was corrupted by Venom), Electro (who got his electrical powers in a freak accident) Norman Osborn (who lost his parents in a car accident and is an extremist that will do anything to save the life of his son Harry), Kraven the Hunter (who was diagnosed with cancer and became obsessed with fighting a perfect foe before dying) and Flint Marko (who grew up poorly in poverty which led him become Sandman because he was threaten by Kraven The Hunter), Simon is a normal person who has no excuse for his crimes other than profiting of the death and misery of others and chooses to be evil all by himself.
  • Although he has a somewhat comedic defeat of him being brushed off by the police arresting him while he screams in rage, it's too brief to be detracting. In fact, it's played more for satisfaction than it is for laughs.
  • While there are people who have done worse than him, such as Venom, Krieger stands out for being just a mere human with no superhuman abilities or talents.
