“ | It's true: I do hate all humans. Whichever world is destroyed, I look forward to an empty planet to call my own. | „ |
~ Silver Cyclone's last words. |
Silver Cyclone is the main antagonist of the Season 1 episode "Deep Cover for Batman!" from the Cartoon Network series Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He is the counterpart of Red Tornado from a dimension where normally villainous characters are heroes, but also vice versa. He was the second-in-command of the Injustice Syndicate.
Like his good counterpart, he was voiced by Corey Burton, who also voiced Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Brainiac in the DC Animated Universe, Brainiac 1.0 in Legion of Super Heroes, Megatron in Transformers: Animated, V.V. Argost in The Secret Saturdays, Zeus in God of War, the Galalunan Commander in Sym-Bionic Titan and Hugo Strange in Batman: Arkham City.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Assisted the Injustice Syndicate in committing various crimes throughout the world.
- He and the Syndicate fought against the Justice Underground, and they defeated and imprisoned them except Red Hood, who escaped.
- After they took over the base, they ruled their Earth through fear and intimidation.
- Silver Cyclone and his team tracked down Red Hood to a warehouse to steal the Phase Oscillator, a device that allows anyone to travel to other universes, with the intent of conquering other Earths.
- Invented a bomb capable of destroying all organic life on a planet, and lied to his team that it would destroy a world entirely.
- His reason was that he despised humanity and desired a empty planet to call his own.
- After Owlman, really Batman in disguise, returned to their world and told them that Batman's world is too formidable to conquer, Silver Cyclone suggested they use his bomb to blow up their earth to serve as a warning to other worlds, to either submit or face total annihilation.
- Had the Syndicate raid a lab, attacking the employees, for components to make the bomb.
- After Red Hood, who was stopping the theft, was captured, Silver Cyclone tortured him with an electric chair while making the imprisoned heroes watch in horror.
- After Injustice Syndicate were defeated and their Phase Oscillator was taken back by those heroes, Silver Cyclone decided to use the bomb to kill all organic life on his Earth, including the Injustice Syndicate, revealing that he doesn't care about his team at all.
- Despite the series being lighthearted and campy, Silver Cyclone is taken seriously.
