Shrieker is a minor antagonist in Bleach. He was an infamous serial killer in life and even worse as a Hollow.

He was voiced by Hisao Egawa in the Japanese version, and by J.B. Blanc in the English version.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

• Even before becoming a Hollow, he was already a monster as he was a vicious serial killer who killed eight people, one of which being the mother of Yuichi Shibata.
• When he comes back as a Hollow, he rips out Yuichi's soul and places it in a cockatiel.
• He "plays" a twisted cat and mouse game with Yuichi as a cockatiel by killing off the people who adopt him, under a faux lie that if Yuichi can avoid him for three months, he can bring his mother back to life.
• When Yuichi comes into possession of Yasutora Sado, Shrieker attempts to kill them by causing several disasters, such as a traffic crash and a steel beam falling from a building.
• When Rukia fought against him, he sadistically revealed to her that he already killed two Soul Reapers who attempted to ascend Yuichi.
  • He relished in joy at his old life when telling his origin to Ichigo and laughed at how the events were thrilling.
• He used his leeches on Rukia by having them stuck themselves in Rukia's body and detonating them, resulting in her getting injured.
• To stop Sado from interfering in his attempt to murder Rukia, Shrieker used Yuichi as a hostage.
• Ichigo manages to arrive to save his friends from Shrieker and defeat him. Unlike many Hollows, who were purified by Shinigami and sent to Soul Society, Shrieker committed many sins when he was alive and was sent to Hell by Ichigo.

Trivia

• He and Szayel Aporro Granz are the only two canon Bleach villains to be approved for Pure Evil.
