The Father of Shio and Asahi Kōbe is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside his own father) of the psychological horror manga Happy Sugar Life.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- During his younger days, he raped Yuuna when she bumped into him by accident. The latter resulted in them being married, but he continues his abuse towards her.
- He repeatedly raped her which resulted in the birth of his said children after he got Yuuna pregnant, Asahi and Shio.
- He wasted all of the inherited money his father passed to him. Instead of using the money to support his family, he wasted it all on drugs and alcohol which ruined his mind and destroyed his body, living a hedonistic life instead of caring for Yuuna and their kids. To make the matters of it worse, he didn't mourn for him on his funeral, furthermore, he didn't showed any hint of sadness when given the information his father died, instead, he even was happy and celebrated this, since he would take the money from his father's inheritance.
- Because of abusing Yūna, she would nearly end up becoming like him towards Shio.
- He neglected Shio and physically abused Asahi by ripping one of his fingernails off when Yuuna and Shio escaped.
- He ruined Yuuna's life, causing her to become a misandrist which resulted to his death.
- He is why Yuuna now qualifies as a villain.
- While it was stated he came from an unloved family, as it seems to be true as his own father is manipulative extortionist who enabled his crimes, forced him to marry Yūna and threatened him to spend time with them, it doesn’t justify his actions in any way, as he is completly selfish and his treatment is incredibly petty.
- All of his actions are what kickstarted the entire series into motion (alongside Satō's aunt) as he is the reason why Yūna abandoned Shio and was later founded by Satō and went through so much throughout the series while being antagonized by Asahi Kobe. This makes him responsible for nearly all the events in the series, including the death of Satō (who shielded Shio from death) and being reborn in Shio's body in the end of the series.

- The Father, alongside The Manager, are the only two Happy Sugar Life Pure Evils.
- The Father can be one of the hated villains in the series along with The Manager.
- However, the Manager is the most hated villain.
